The "Arkema" trimaran, in which Alex Pella, along with Lalou Rousayrol, has won the Transat Jacques Vabre in the Multi 50 Class, crossing the line of arrival in Salvador de Bahia at 8: 49. After 10 days, 19 hours, 14 seconds and 19 seconds have managed to beat the record, which to date was 12 days, 6 hours, 13 minutes and 36 seconds and was held by Franck- Yves Escoffier and Kevin Escoffier.

"How nice! What a tough, fun, worked race", has commented Alex Pella just to achieve the goal. "It's been all super intense. With an incredible rhythm. We didn't even get our clothes out for sleep. One was wearing the cane and the other was in the hand. Once again, I have had to adapt super fast to everything, to the partner, to the boat... and it's a good thing the course of something sounds to me"Pella said. The navigator, who has not been able to contain the emotion of winning a race again, has pointed out that "everything has been worth it, not for victory itself, but for experience."Alex Pella has assured that the Transat Jacques Vabre 2017 will mark the emergence of a new future for the Multi 50. "When we arrived and saw the fleet, I said 'wow' because for me it's the first time there's a fleet of this kind"Pella said.

The Transat Jacques Vabre is the strongest and most powerful two race, leaving the French port of Le Havre, to Salvador de Bahia. This new victory of Alex Pella is in addition to his most recent successes. In 2014, he won the victory on the mythical Rum Route and became the first Spanish to win a solo transoceanic test. And, on January 26, 2017, he beat the record of absolute speed back to the world by sailing, on board the sophisticated Maxi-Trimaran IDEC Sport. Alex, along with the rest of the team, made history, circling the planet in 40 days, 23 hours, 30 minutes and 30 seconds.
