21 / 10 / 2017: "Orange alert..." and annulment of the first test of the Terras Guda Regata

The Xunta de Galicia gave the alert early on Saturday in the orange category, and immediately carried the concern to the 40 ships that with 300 crew were in the facilities of the Nautico de Sada to participate in the Coruñés cycle of the Abanca Week, in the Regata Terras Guda de Cruises. At the edge of the 12: 30 in the morning, President Enrique Tostado called all the masters of the participating ships, with the presence of the judges and jurors of the series. He took the floor as the highest leader of the Regatas Committee, which was supported at all times by the Lusian international judge Joao Allen, who serves as president of the jury.

In the end, after the exchange of views, the most reasonable choice was made: to cancel the Saturday test, because of the serious consequences that could have the opposite, because with an orange alert for example the insurance companies do not take over the sports incidents... This is why the Terras Gauda Regata is missing a single test to be held on Sunday from 12: 00 in the morning, as there is already evidence that at least the Meteo de la Xunta alert will go down to a yellow level. In line of departure will be ships as planned from the fleets of Baiona, Vigo, Sanxenxo, Portosín, La Coruña, Sada, Ares and Ferrol, among other ports.

Among the participants will not miss the quote the "Solventis" of Malalo Bermudez de Castro, which on this occasion will be the spectacular Gran Soleil 46 one of the most quality ships of the entire Galician fleet, which competes for the Monte Real Club de Yates de Baiona, and which a priori is the great favorite. Among its rivals it is necessary to highlight the Hansa 400 "Mambo" that competes for Sada and that will have in the cane the vigués Carlos Sampedro Curbera.

Another of the highlights is the "Mascato" of the Real Club Náutico de La Coruña de Enrique Vilariño, as well as the "Zospiro" of Guillermo Blanco also of the Náutico; "Mourisca" of Gonzalo Pazó de Sada, "Cuelebre o" O Rias "the Sun Fast 36 of Ramón Carnota de La Coruña. Three hundred regatists go into competition at Abanca Week this weekend in Coruñese waters.
