Two Catalan optimists, from the Club Nàutic de Sant Feliù de Guixols, were made with the PL Sails Awards, which the Portuguese sailing referred to in the international light sail, donated for the Kinde Trophy Acto 2, held in Gijón within the Abanca Week.

Carla Romagosa and Cristina Rusiñol, who were placed respectively despite their youth in a few twelfth and 19th meritoriums, received at the close their awards, sponsored by the sports director of Club Níutic Cambrils Pep Subirats and Emilio Méndez of Club Marítimo de Canido, coordinators of the Catalan and Galician fleets, respectively, at the Week Abanca.
