The Viguese regatist Paula Rancha of the Maritime Club of Canido, was proclaimed winner of Act 2 of the Kinder Trophy of the Abanca Week in asturian waters, which has organized the Real Club Astur de Regatas. Rocha has also been imposed on the Kinder Trophy in conjunction with Act 1 held in Leixóes last weekend, while Mario Soares in the male category has been competing for the Viana Sailing Clube and the Canido Maritime Club. The great favoritala gerundense Ona García of the Club de Vela Costa Brava de Palamós had to be conformed to the third place in dispute. For the next Saturday and Sunday, the Abanca Week is moved to Galician waters, as in Sada organized by the Nautico Club, the Guda Cross-Class Terras Regata is celebrated.

Good conditions of wind and sea on Saturday in Gijón, although it took time to enter, at the midday edge a north-east of 10 to 12 knots, took over the bay of San Lorenzo, forming a spectacular field of races, to the extent that three sleeves were achieved that had a great spectacularity. The partial victories were for the Catalan Joan Fargas of the Nautico de Cambrils, and the two remaining for the Viguese Mario Soares and Paula da Rocha.

To highlight that on the Basque side the best optimist was Arrieta Angueira del Marítimo del Abra. The current Basque champion was fifth in front of the very large Vizcaine expedition, even exceeding the Basque number one Gabriel Oraá, who was sixth. By La Coruña the best was Fernando Núñez of the Club Marítimo Oza el Puntal, who became fourteenth, while by Asturias Covadonga Fernández of the Real Club Astur de Regatas de Gijón was the best asturian.

Excellent competition lived in Gijón, with a lot of level of a Kinder Trophy that covers the two sailing cycles of Optimist of the Abanca Week, with a wide expedition from Catalonia, which are considered the strongest at national level, even though on this occasion the best Galician have given good account of them and with authority. The Kínder Trophy travels to Vigo for a double game, with the victories of Paula la Rocha in female and Mario Soares in male, both of the Club Marítimo de Canido, which from the hand of Emilio Méndez is becoming the reference of the Galician candle infantil- cadete.

The Portuguese Mario Soares of the Clube de Vela de Viana do Castelo is the leader of the event 2 of the Kinder Trophy of the Abanca Week, which is organizing the Real Club Astur of Regatas of Gijón, after holding the first day in Asturian waters. They had to work a lot both the regatta direction in charge of the ovettense Eva Díaz, and its regatta committee, because it has not been an easy day the gijonese bay on this Friday fall. It started soon with a west wind of a ten knots... but it was all a mirage as the wind was coming down at the same exit, also attached with a 40 degree roll!. It had at the end of an hour to begin, with a similar wind for already north component, and a perfectly mounted clean output... but again it was coming down, but fortunately when the race was ending.

11 / 10 / 2017: Abanca Week... the favorite Catalan promises in Act 2 of the Kinder Trophy of Gijón

The presence of the male leader of the Kinder Trophy, Mario Soares of the Vela Clube of Viana do Castelo, as well as the girls who occupy the second and third place: the Paula Rocha and Liang Jane, are the great favorites to get the trophy of the Oporto- Gijón combination.
