It was held in the waters of San Lorenzo Bay, the last day of the Autumn Trophy of Vela Ligera, which organizes the Real Club Astur de Regatas de Gijón, proof that it closed the season of regatas, after an intense year of competitions.

Excellent closing day in terms of weather, with a wind, which blew with an average intensity of 12 knots of Northeast component, on a sunny day, and with an ideal temperature, if we take into account the time of the year in which we are.

Leticia Pelayo to the cane and Carlos Ordoñez de proel, made two good exits and placed themselves at the head of the Snipe fleet from the beginning of the tests. A fleet that has gradually grown and more and more ships are going through the exit line. With two first in their locker on the day and after eight sleeves disputed along the Trophy, Pelayo and Ordoñez took the first place in the general.

The second position was occupied by José Palacio and Alberto Suárez, always very competitive and with three first positions along the Trophy, they had to settle with the second square only two points from the first. Alvaro Alegría and Juan García- Ovies would close the podium posts.

In Optimist and with three contested sleeves, Covadonga Fernández with a full of wins is the winner of the Trophy, followed by Eva Martínez, with Carmen Simal in third position.

06 / 11 / 2017: The Autumn of Sailing of the Astur of Regatas of Gijón in the absence of a day

The penultimate day of the Autumn Trolley of Light Sailing on Saturday, only one sleeve of the two planned, with a loose south-west component wind, was played in the final stretch of the 70 degrees race to the west to reach 12 knots of intensity. Due to a heavy electric storm in the bay of San Lorenzo at the start of the second manga, the Regatas Committee for security overturned the test and sent the ships to the ground, and the day was closed.

José Palacio and Alberto Suárez won the manga in Snipe, and are seconds in the general at just one point, of Leticia Pelayo and Carlos Ordoñez that ended in fifth position. The second square was obtained by Guillermo Marqués and Ignacio Prendes, followed by Alvaro Alegría and Juan García Ovies, who close in the absence of a day to dispute the posts of honor.

Among the Optimist, the triumph was for Covadonga Fernández, the second position obtained it, Ignacio López and Eva Martínez would end in third place. The Laser 4.7 third class in liza del Trofeo, Diego Jiménez was the best, followed by Fernando Alonso and Jacobo Fernández.

On Sunday was the turn for the Cruises, the wind soaked from the West from loose to moderate, with sea bottom more than two meters high. A manga was played for both classes in competition.

However to be decided in class I, the University of Oviedo- Grupo Isastur, by Roberto Álvarez Bucetas, who left in third position of the general, imposed on the manga his most direct rivals by conquering the Trophy and tied to points with the Santiniebla- Lener, of José Luis Alonso, who occupied the second square in the manga and in the general. The third position was obtained by the Taxus MedioAmbiente, by Alfredo Flórez.

In class II, the Leonidas, by Juan Manuel Quevedo, would win the manga ending in second position in the general, behind the Ita II, of Pedro Guerra second in the day and winner of the Trophy in his class.

23 / 10 / 2017: The "orange alert" also prevents in Gijón the celebration of the Autumn Trophy of Vela

The announcement of orange alert throughout the Cantabrian coast already forced Friday, to make the decision to suspend the sleeves of Sailing Light scheduled for Saturday. On Sunday, the turn for the Cruises, the security closure of the Gijón Sports Port due to the strong waves in the mouth kept the fleet tied, and therefore the tests were cancelled.

In Vela Ligera in the absence of two days, the general classification in the Snipe class is headed by, Leticia Pelayo and Carlos Ordoñez, seconds to two points are, Jaime Álvarez-Hevia and Ignacio Braña closing the honours, José Palacio and Diego Jiménez, just one point from the second classified.

In Cruise with a day to be disputed, the Taxus MedioAmbiente, by Alfredo Flórez is the provisional leader of class I, tied to points with the Santiniebla-Lener, by José Luis Alonso. The third square is occupied, the University of Oviedo- Grupo Isastur, by Roberto Alvarez - Bucetas at a point of its rivals. 13 / 10 / 2017: Taxus Medio Ambiente takes in command at the Autumn Sailing Trophy in Gijón

The Taxus MedioAmbiente, by Alfredo Flórez new leader of Class I in the XXIV Autumn Trophy of the Royal Astur Club of Regatas. In Class II, the Ita II of Pedro Guerra remains in the head of his group. It was held in the waters of San Lorenzo Bay, the third day of the XXIV Autumn Trophy of Cruise, of the Club de Regatas. Sunny but wind-free day on the starting line at 1.05 p.m. when the competition starts. After an hour of deferral, a 6-knots-loose Northeast came out that would rise to 12 along the tests, and flat sea.

The Class I Cruises fought two sleeves, the first of four sections of 1.3 miles and the second of 1.6 miles, a little longer per section, due to the rise of the wind. For their part, Class II Cruises made a single sleeve with three girds and three soups.

The equality in the first positions of Class I are clear, with four ships in the head group, after six races any one of them has options to take the Trophy, where regularity is a fundamental component.

In the first test of the day, the Great Sailing One, by Fernando Alonso, for the first time won a race of the Trophy, that is, for just a second difference over the Santiniebla-Lener, by José Luis Alonso, holding the third position the University of Oviedo- Grupo Isastur, by Roberto Alvarez Bucetas.

In the second manga, the Taxus Medio Ambiente, by Alfredo Flórez was the fastest, and with the triumph achieved in the test he is the leader of the Trophy, tied to points with the Santiniebla-Lener, by José Luis Alonso, fifth in the second manga. The Wanted, by Ricardo Simal would end in the second position followed by the Great Sailing One. For its part, the University of Oviedo- Grupo Isastur, occupied the fourth place and lost the leadership of the Trophy, is third on the table, but only one point from the first.

In the Cruise Class II, the Ita II of Pedro Guerra again became the best in the group and maintains the leadership, followed by the Leonidas, of Juan Manuel Quevedo, second in the test and in the general classification.

The second day of the Light Sailing Fall Trophy of the Regatas Club was held, only one test was completed and thanks to the expertise of the Regatas Committee, which was able to make the most of the bad wind conditions to celebrate one of the two scheduled sleeves. Leticia Pelayo and Carlos Ordoñez were clearly imposed and with this victory they lead the provisional general classification of the Trophy. The second square was for, Francisco Silvela and Carlos Álvarez followed by Alvaro Alegría and Juan García-Ovies.

In the first manga of the day, the third of the Autumn Trophy, the Taxus MedioAmbiente, by Alfredo Flórez, was imposed on the Santiniño, by José Luis Alonso for only 8 seconds in compensated time and for 47 seconds to the University of Oviedo- Grupo Isastur, by Roberto Alvarez Bucetas, which certifies the equality of the first positions in the classification table. The second manga, the student ship was the best, followed by the Santiniumana, which was again second and is at the head of the general tied to points with the university. For its part, the Taxus Environment would end up in third position, and close the podium posts. In Class II, the Ita II, of Pedro Guerra, heads the general of the group, thanks to the victory achieved in the second day, tied to points, also, with the Leonidas, of Juan Manuel Quevedo that finished the race in second position.

25 / 09 / 2017: Alvarez Hevia-Braña and Pelayo-Ordóñez command in snipe in the Autumn Trophy of Gijón

The Autumn Trophy began in Gijón for the Snipe class organized by the Real Club Astur de Regatas, which lead the couple Jaime Álvarez-Hevia and Ignacio Braña, equal to points with the tandem composed by Leticia Pelayo and Carlos Ordoñez, both of the Regatas Club. In future dates will join the snipes, the optimist and the laser.

Weather conditions on both Saturday and Sunday were very similar, with an excellent time. As for the intensity, the wind blew loose, of the North component on the first manga on Saturday to roll west on the second, while on Sunday the north-east came out which would reach a maximum of 9 knots.

In the opening day, equality in the first positions was evident from the beginning of the first race, Jaime Álvarez-Hevia and Ignacio Braña won the first manga in the last stretch of girded to the line of arrival, followed by, Leticia Pelayo a la cane and Carlos Ordoñez acting on this occasion of proel. The third square was obtained by José Palacio and Diego Jiménez. In the second test of the day Pelayo and Ordoñez were the best, then they crossed the line of arrival, Alvarez-Hevia and Braña being third, Luis Ford and Catalina Hernández.

On Sunday two sleeves were again held, on this occasion José Palacio and Diego Jiménez did not give any options, winning the two magas of the day, they are placed third in the general classification, just one point from the first. Jaime Alvarez-Hevia and Ignacio Braña, with a third and a second place in the day, are placed at the head of the provisional general. The second place in the general tied to points with the first ones is for, Leticia Pelayo and Carlos Ordoñez, with a second and third place on Sunday.
