The madrileño Alfonso Moreno wins in optimist A, with Carlos Espí as the female champion sub-13, Elba Martínez and Adriana Castro, the female champion sub-13... in optimist B, victory for Sergi Soler in absolute category and Lucía Espi, Fernando Puig and Claudia Antón, in female category, sub-11, and sub-11 female, respectively.
In the waters of the Real Club Náutico de Valencia the Trophy Valenciavela Infantil - Copa Unicef, the first can be seen for the Autonomical Cup of the Optimist A and B classes, which has had the participation of 160 regatists from all over the national territory. The test, which always has a great success of participation, is also of a solidarity nature, since 7 of the 10 euros of each registration are intended to collaborate with the various programmes of Unicef.
In the Optimist A class, 68 regatists came from various clubs on the Mediterranean coast, from Catalonia to Murcia, and also from Madrid. La madrileño Alfonso Moreno, of the Club Deportivo Canal Isabel II, has signed a brilliant performance in which it has not fallen from the fourth position, except a disqualification that has been discarded, and has been proclaimed champion in Optimist A with a wide margin of points compared to the second classified, the alicantino Roman Esteve, of the RCRA, with a very regular performance. The Valencian Carlos Espí, of the Nautico, occupies the third square of the table and is at the same time winning in sub-13 category, with the alicantinos Miguel Campos del Regatas de Alicante and Adrián López (CNACB), second and third, respectively, in this category.
The female winner was Elba Marínez, from the Nautico de Salou, followed by Ana Clavero, from the Nautico de Calpe, and Marina Serrano, from the Nautico Santa Pola, in third position. In the sub-13 female category, the podium has been composed of Adriana Castro, in first position; Marta Fructuoso, second, both of the Royal Nautical Club of Torrevieja and Julia Pérez of the Nautico El Campello, in third place.
Sergi Soler del Náutico de Valencia has been made with the victory in the race, despite a disqualification in the first test, which has been discarded, and with a regular performance in the rest of the sleeves. The second one has been Lucía Espi, from the same club, which has been proclaimed at the same time a female winner. For her part, Daniela Senís has been the female subchampion and the third in the general table. He completed the women's podium Lucía de Tomas, in the fourth general square. In the sub-11 category the first square has been for Fernando Puig, a regatist who has been fifth in the general table at the age of 11. The second sub-11 square was for Claudia Anton de Torrevieja, who has also been a female champion sub-11 and with Jorge Santos, from Altea, third. Irene de Tomas, of allegiance, and the Torreviejense Paloma López were the second and third in the sub-11 female category.
22 / 09 / 2017: This weekend the Unicef Cup in Valencia of children's sailing with 164 optimist
The Real Club Náutico de Valencia is hosting this weekend the traditional Trofeo Valencia de sela infantil - Copa Unicef, in which 164 regatists of the Optimist A and B classes of all the points of the Valencia Community will participate. For the past six editions, this race has been held in collaboration with Unicef, with a share of the participants' registration fee allocated to the various programmes of the organization. This year, of the 10 euros of registration, 7 will be for the Unicef training campaign.

The race is also the first punctuable test for the Autonomical Cup of the optimist classes A and B, which anticipates a high level at sea. The organization plans to hold a total of six tests throughout the weekend, which will start tomorrow Saturday. On returning from the water, young regatists will be able to enjoy a giant paella and refreshments on Saturday, along with a draw of material among the participants. On Sunday afternoon, the award of trophies will be held, in which the first three classified men, women, men's sub-13 and women's sub-13 of optimist A and B, respectively, will be awarded.
