Azzurra is already the champion of the 2017 circuit of the 52 Super Series. After six races, thirty days of competition and fifty sleeves played in the best season in the history of the competition the Roemmers family sailboat today in Menorca achieved its third obstacle in the world's most important circuit for monocasque ships.

The sailboat patrolled by Guillermo Parada was also made today with the victory at Menorca 52 SUPER SERIES Sailing Week after a day in which the eleven ships went out into the water, but in which one could not give a way out for the lack of wind. The Committee waited almost until three o'clock in the afternoon, but in the end they returned the ships to port where it was the triumphal walk of the Azzurra through the Rada de Maó to the Club Marítimo where the party followed. In the podium of Mao he is accompanied by the Gladiator that ends up tied to points with them, but from behind as Azzurra has a victory which gives him the triumph in the unfold.

The third place of the drawer that goes for Doug DeVos's Quantum Racing on the Platoon has also been decided in the unbound, although in this case we have to go to the two second positions that the Americans have since both ships had a first and a second on their marker.

22 / 09 / 2017: The Menorca 52 Super Series comes to the last day with "Azurra" highlighted

Azzurra is the best-placed sailboat to win tomorrow the 2017 season title of the 52 Super Series. The Roemmers family ship made today a sixth and a second to slightly stretch its leadership in the general classification of the world's best race circuit for monocascos. Platoon will leave tomorrow in the water with seven points of disadvantage over the blue sailboat, while the Quantum will do it with eleven.

In the struggle for victory in Maó Azzurra it is tied to points in the first square with the Gladiator and accumulates three points of advantage over Quantum and Platoon. The Bronenosec also aspires to the final victory that of six sleeves has already won three.

Today's day has been much more just than the previous two. Azzurra got involved at the beginning and before he wanted to know it, he had already had to do three turns, which penalized them very much in speed. From there, the current leader of the circuit general had to go back and forth while the Quantum was very comfortable in the first square watching several ships turn in the second position. In the end it was the Gladiator who finished second in front of the Sled and Platoon.

Azzurra was benefited by a problem in the Sutizza spi at the last stern of the first test. The Turks took a world to undo the dormant in the special sail for the soups and fell to the last square while Guillermo Parada's sailboat dampened his bad exit with a sixth final seat.

The second sleeve of the day was the Bronenosec. The italoArgentines tried at the first stern to leave on the left side of the field, but could not make any performance to their maneuver as the wind blew equally in both parts of the race field. A second place came to them very well more by seeing how Platoon and Quantum were not very close to them. The Germans went from less to more as the first barlovent buoy was passed by tenths when they were penalized at the exit as well as the Provizza. In the end, they were sexted. Quantum made a bad exit and moved through the central part of the race, but in the last stern he lost three positions to enter a ninth place that penalized him and that returned to Azzurra the advantage he had lost in the first.

21 / 09 / 2017: "Azurra" remains leader... with four aspirants for a sigh in the 52 Super Series of Menorca

Menorca does not leave the 2017 script of the 52 Super Series. The race follows the patterns of the season: maximum equality and excitement to raudals. Today Platoon and Bronenosec won the two sleeves that were held in the waters of Maó and helped to compress both the classification of the ballast race and the general of the circuit. There are two days left for the end and all the fabric is about to be cut. Three ships fight for the trophy of the year and five to be the best in Maó. You can't ask for more. With a wind of about 12 knots from the south, two races were made and, although it seemed from the outside that the conditions were more 'fair', the fact is that again the regatists spoke of lottery when they arrived in port. The intention was to reach three sleeves, but after the Bronenosec victory in the second Maria Torrijo decided to send the fleet to the Mahon Maritime Club due to the fall of the wind and its instability. There are two days of competition in which four or five other exits can be given. Azzurra leads the two classifications, Maó's and this year's general. But in both cases it does so with such a small margin that it is impossible to quote them as favorites to win either of the two qualifying tables.

As far as the general is concerned today, the Quantum Racing has been the great beneficiary. He hasn't won any sleeves, but he's made two solid seconds on. This is what this is about. Its direct rivals in general, Azzurra and Platoon did not have the same consistency or ability to read the race field. The people of Harm Müller-Spreer, after winning the first manga of the day with a clear victory, fell in the second to the sixth position. For its part, Azzurra went from a sixth in the first to a third in the second after reassembling on both occasions his bad first girth. The Americans made two seconds that leave them nine points from Azzurra and four from German sailboat in which they go up to five Spanish crew members (Mariño, Ribes, Calafat, Plaza and Más).

Very similar is the 'environment' in the classification of the race of Maó. There are five ships separated by only two points. Here, to the three candidates for the final victory of the circuit, the big prize of the year, there are two other ships that have run for victory. Gladiator, the newest sailboat in the fleet launched in 2017, is being a very solid ship, although in the first race yesterday it will end seventh. And Bronenosec is the best ship of the last two days with two first and one fifth. They were penalized by the ninth square in the first race on Tuesday in which they went in the center of the fleet, but fell to the ninth square after breaking a genaker. These two ships have been positioned to fight for victory in Mahon. If one of the two won, and to reprove the parity of this season, it would be the sixth boat to win a race in a six-test season. No one would have repeated triumph.

20 / 09 / 2017: "Azurra" holds in the leadership of the Menorca 52 Super Series

Azzurra is one step closer to the final win in the 52 Super Series 2017. And there's a closer tranche after it was only possible to give half today. Once again the time played a bad pass to the fleet and the planned two-sleeved calendar was only able to give a way out with large waves and very roll and unstable wind. The manga was won by Vladimir Liubomirov's Bronenosec while the leader remains the Azzurra although tied to points with the Gladiator of the British Tony Langley.

An 'early' fleet today avoided blank. The sleeves usually begin after noon, but today María Torrijo, the head of the Regatas Committee, decided to advance it at 11: 00, as the party announced that at that time there was still some wind but that it would fall. And so it was. At 11: 00 the exit was possible, but after the completion of this test, the Alicantina 'chief' sent the fleet to the Mahon Maritime Club when it decreed deferral on the ground. At 2.30, it sounded like siren was canceling the evidence for today. All home.

And the day was filled with the Bronenosec victory and a monumental disappointment in the Quantum Racing. The Americans, current title advocates, had the race completely dominated in the second step by the buoy of barlovento. The sleeve was his, but what no one was barging from the big favorite happened. They waited too long to get their streak back on the right side of the race field and lost all the advantage they had accumulated. From the first they passed to the seventh place and to yield three other points with the Azzurra. And what's more complicated, three points less and one day less to fight to get them back.

Azzurra went second for that last buoy of the day. He followed Quantum, but decided to transfer a minute before his ancestral rivals. At stake was also defending the position with the Platoon that had passed sixth by the top beacon and that went on the left side of the field along with Gladiator and Bronenosec. The Russian ship was the great beneficiary of staying in the place where the streak blew into the line of arrival. This victory of Liubomirov's crew resented them from the bad taste of yesterday's mouth when they broke a genaker and lost four positions in the last stern, which today gave them back their luck. After the Russians entered the Platoon and the Gladiator which, next to the Azzurra, is the ship that has had the best performance in the first two 'lame' days of competition in Maó. The Langley sailboat is the newest in the fleet, it was built last winter, and with the arrival of Ed Baird to the Gladiator tactic it can become the sixth boat to win a race this year in the 52 Super Series. The classification is as follows:

1. Azzurra (Roemmers family, ITA / ARG) (1.4) 5 points.
2. Gladiator (Tony Langley, GBR) (2,3) 5
3. Platoon (Harm Müller-Spreer, GER), (6.2)
4. Bronenosec (Vladimir Liubomirov, RUS), (9.1) 10
5. Sled (Takashi Okura, USA), (3.8) 11
6. Quantum Racing (Doug DeVos, USA), (4.7) 11
7. Provides (Ergin Imre, TUR) (5.6) 11
8. Sorcha (Peter Harrison GBR) (11.5) 16
9. Rán Racing (Niklas Zennström, SWE), (7.10) 17
10. Paprec Recyclage (Jean-Luc Petithuenin, FRA) (8.9) 17
11. Alegre (Andrés Soriano GBR / USA) (10.11) 21

19 / 09 / 2017: "Azurra" assumes command in the Menorca 52 Super Series

Azzurra consolidated his leadership in the first day of the Menorca 52 Super Series Sailing Week... the Italian-Argentine ship won the only manga that could be disputed today due to the changing wind conditions that occurred in the Maó regatta field. Quantum finished fourth after a good recovery while Platoon was sixth. These three teams are fighting for the final title of the season. After today's day Azzurra extends its leadership in the 2017 circuit classification with 173 points while the Platoon follows second with 181 and Quantum is third with 183.

The exit took place with a 12-knots wind coming directly from the north. Azzurra made a spectacular game by the viewer which allowed him to master the first part of the test. All had spoken in the previous of the relevance of the exits and the Azzurra was the most applied with the predictions. Not so Quantum and Platoon who left behind and without many possibilities to navigate clean lines. In passing through the first buoy of barlovento those of Guillermo Parada, the merit today was all yours, they already had a solid advantage over the Gladiator who was second and the Paprec who followed them. Platoon passed seventh while Quantum was in the ninth position.

However, the Americans with a tactic call from Terry Hutchinson going to do the stern moving to port just after taking the buoy recovered four positions at the sotavento door. There Azzurra held his solid advantage that he would no longer forgive even though a good Sled maneuver in the last stern placed them at some point leading the fleet, but Azzurra claimed his dominance and assured victory. In the last stern the Bronenosec broke a spi and lost in the maneuver of the change of candle three or four positions.

The twenty minutes of waiting between the first and the so-called second race were extended. María Torrijo, responsible for the Regatas Committee, was delaying the start in the face of the drastic changes in the direction of the wind that made it impossible to consolidate the field of regatas and to give the exit to a just race. In the end it was decided to return to port with a single sleeve and with Azzurra as leader. The classification after the first day in Mahon is as follows:

1. Azzurra (Roemmers family, ITA / ARG), (1) 1 point.
2. Gladiator (Tony Langley, GBR) (2) 2
3. Sled (Takashi Okura, USA), (3) 3
4. Quantum Racing (Doug DeVos, USA), (4) 4

18 / 09 / 2017: The Menorca 52 Super Series starts with 11 ships in competition in Mahón

Menorca is the stage of the most uncertain, competing and brilliant 52 Super Series season final in its entire history. For the first time since the world's most important circuit for monocasque ships, three ships, Azzurra, Platoon and Quantum, will fight for the precious final triumph in equal conditions.

After five races this season (Key West, Miami, Scarlino, Porto Cervo and Puerto Portals) Azzurra only starts in menorca, with three points of advantage over the current TP52 world champion, the Platoon, and three more about the current title defender, Quantum Racing. Nothing that can't be recovered in a sleeve and in Menorca ten are expected...

Three teams in the struggle for victory that have reached Mahon relying on three different philosophies. The passionate Latinos of the Azzurra already know what it is to win this competition in 2012 and 2015. They have an unremovable crew made up mostly of Argentine and Italian regatists that complement perfectly.
