It began in the waters of the river of Vigo the week Abanca 2017 which over two months brings together in the waters of Galicia, Asturias and northern Portugal to competitions of sailing, piragüism and rowing. The fleet of 420 was the largest, the leader being the current bronze medals sub- 17 worldwide: the Viguese couple composed by Martín Wizner and Pedro Ameneiro of the Real Nautical Club of Vigo, who achieved three first and a third, who cast out as the worst score.
