A shipwrecked freighter and split into two in the waters of the Turkish Black Sea

A Mongolian-flag bulk ship shipwrecked at the end of Saturday and left on two sides of the Sarıyer district, north of Istanbul and at the mouth of the Bosphorus in the Black Sea.
According to the "Hispanatolia.com" portal that specializes in offering Spanish news for the Asian west, the freighter "Leonardo" with 114 meters in length, built in 1975 and flagged in Mongolia, left in two halves as he sailed to the Bosforo to undergo repairs in the Tuzla shipyards, south of Istanbul... the accident occurred within walking distance of the coast where the Turkish town of Demircikov is located.
A total of eight ships were immediately sent to the shipwreck site by the Turkish Coast Safety Directorate; the 11 members of the cargo crew were successfully rescued and, after being landed in the Rumeli Feneri area, at the mouth of the legendary Bosphorus Strait, were transferred to hospitals in the area for medical examination, although their health status is in principle good. While the maritime security teams managed to drag one of the parts of the ship to the coast by tugboats and to launch it at the Türkeli Fountain, the other half remained in the water gradually sinking into the sea.
