The 54 edition of the Great Day of the Vela- Bufete Frau today has lived its last day of navigation, reaching the point and end of one of the longest races of Mallorca. The absolute winner of this competition, a race organized by the Nàutic s'Arenal Club (CNA) and which has been held since August 24, has been Nacho Baltasar, of the Nàutic Sa Rípita Club... Baltasar has been, with 13 points, the winner of the gold category Optimist. She is followed by the recently female world champion Maria Perelló, of the CNA and, third, Helen Wolff.
The race, in 420, has left the CNA team composed of Xavi Antich and Clara Llabrés as clear winners. The second place has been obtained by the couple, also from the CNA, Aina Colom and Vicky Sisk, and in third place are Albert Torres and Rodrigo Rodríguez of the Real Club Nautico de Palma and Real Club Nautico de Vigo.
In Techno 293 the first place has been for the regatist of the Nautical Club of Palma, Biel Lladó Durán while the second and third place has been for Albert Serra and Marc Rossello, respectively, both of the CNA.
In Musto Skiff the podium has been caught by CNA athletes being, the first position, for Joan Rossello while the second and technical position has been for Justo Martínez and Nano Barceló respectively.
In the race of Snipe, Victor Pérez and Dries Combe (CMSAP) have been made with the first place while Miquel Costa and Lucas Talamonti (RCNP) have made with the second being, the third prize, for Juan Company and Jorge Díaz (RCNP). The results can be found in this link:

The Nàutic Club of S'Arenal has organized for the third day of the 'Grand Day of Sailing - Bufete Frau' activities and equipment and speed tests for light sailing classes: Optimist, Laser Radial, Laser 4.7, 420 and Bic Techno. The competition for Musto Skiff, Snipe, Adjusted Sailing, Cruises (ORC and ORC Social) and Latin Sailing (Open, Regata and Classical Llaüts) has also started today. The team race of the Optimist class has started at around 11.30 a.m. There were eight teams, the best according to the current classification of the 'Grand Day of Sailing - Bufete Frau'. The best clubs positioned and therefore those classified to be able to compete in the team test have been: CN s'Arenal, CN Sant Antoni de Portmany, CN de Ibiza, CN Ciutadella, RCN Palma, CNSAP - Ca'n pastilla, CN sa Rápita and CN El Trocadero (Andalusia).
The winning team, after a well-matched race, has been the CN sa Rípita and second has finished the CN s'Arenal followed by the RCN Palma. The race has been very interesting since until the last second one did not know who would be the winner but a final turn has given the CN of Sa Rrapita the victory.
Joan Rossello of the CN s'Arenal head the Musto Skiff class, follows him to a point Justo Martínez, also of the Arenal. The competition has also started today the Snipe class, where Victor Pérez and Dries Combre of the CMSAP - Ca'n Pastilla, with 5 points, followed by the regatists of the RCN Palma, Costa and Talamonti, with 7 points.
On the ORC cruises the victory is for Mateo Grimald's Micanga, followed by Miguel Riera's Swahily. In the class ORC Social dominates the Viriato and in second position the Hallelujah has remained. As for the Latin Sailing the Ancora has been proclaimed winner of the Latin Sailing Regata while the Alzina has made it from the Latin Sailing Open.
25 / 08 / 2017: Second day of the Great Day of Sailing in the waters of the bay of Palma
The couple of the CN s'Arenal, Xavi Antich and Clara Llabrés, climb to the first place in class 420 so they unbank Albert Torres (RCNP) and Rodrigo Rodríguez (RCN Vigo) who follow them to 7 points. In third position and first female, Aina Colom and Vicky Sisk (CNA) are maintained.

In the Optimist class, Nacho Baltasar of the CN sa Ràpita and María Perelló (CNA) were still tied in first position until the fifth manga of the championship but finally, the regatist of Sa Ràpita has managed to stand out in front of María Perelló that has ended in second position. In the category Optimist D highlight the advance of Cai Calvo (CV Port d'Andratx) at first position.
Mario Plomer of the CV Port of Andratx and Joan Roig (CMSAP - C'an Ppill) are placed first and second respectively of the Laser Radial class. The first female laserist of the classification and also fourth of the general is Magdalena Bonet of CN sa Ràpita. In Laser 4.7, the Ibicent regatist Lucas Martín and Alberto Fontanals of Club del CMSAP - C'an Pasctilla are first up to three points away.
The first posts in the Bic Techno tables have not been modified. Biel Lladó of the Real Club Náutico de Palma continues to lead the classification and behind it, four points, continues the regatist of the Club Nàutic S'Arenal, Albert Serra.
Tomorrow Saturday 'Grand Day of Sailing Baffete Frau' changes the fleet race for other types of competitions for the regatists. From 11 a.m. the Team Racing will start for the Optimist class and at 12 hours the Laser, 420 and Bic Techno will perform, in small groups, speed races (Slalom). At 3 p.m. these same classes will participate in a Cross Sailing organized by Elite Chip that combines running with sailing. From 18 hours on WS Arenal organizes a Water Party where participants can perform multiple aquatic activities.
The same Saturday will begin the tests for the other participating classes. The Latin candle at 13 hours, followed, half an hour later, by the cruises and finally at 14 hours will be released to the remaining classes (Musto Skiff, Snipe and Adjusted Sailing). On Sunday, August 27, they will be playing Optimist, Bic Techno, Laser, 420, Muusto Skiff, Snipe and Adjusted Sailing, from 12: 00. The award will be held on Sunday at 7.30 p.m.

400 boats and 450 participants prepared for the 54th 'Grand Day of the Vela-Bufete Frau' Regata at the Nàutic Club of s'Arenal, one of the largest and longest nautical dates of the Mallorcan summer that starts this Thursday at 3: 00 in the afternoon. The Trophy is a replica of the Rei In Jaume figure very linked to the history of Llucmajor... it encloses the name of the winner of each edition. This award can only be left in property if you win three consecutive editions or five alternates. Sponsored for the eleventh consecutive year by the signature of lawyers and tax advisers Bufete Frau, this race, with a prominent presence of the regialists of the Balearic Islands, also welcomes participants from other autonomous communities such as Andalusia, the Canary Islands or Galicia and will even be in line of departure Danish and German ships.
The Club Nàutic s'Arenal has called for this race, which has been held in the waters of the Bay of Palma since 1964, up to eight categories of light sailing (Optimist, Optimist D, Laser 4.7, Laser Radial, Laser Standard, 420, Musto Skiff, Bic Techno 293), cruise (ORC and Familiar), Latin sailing (Bots regatas and Llaüts Classics and Open) and adapted sailing. The tests begin on Thursday, August 24, from 15: 00, for the Optimist, Bic Techno 293, Laser and 420 classes. On Friday these same classes will start to compete at 12: 00. On Saturday, 26, the CrossSailing and Team Racing will take place, for the Optimist from 11 a.m. and for the Laser, 420 and Bic Techno Team Racing will start at 12 p.m. Optimist, Laser, 420 and Bic Tecno will have a Water Party from 18: 00. The same Saturday will begin the tests for the other participating classes.
