The Viguese Bugallo and Lorenzo reached fourth place in the general classification

The English team formed by Regatists Morgan Peach and Rhos Hawes were the winners of the European Junior of 49er, although the first ranked in the general were the Australians Kurt Hansen and Jim Colley. The British also James Grummett and Daniel Budden completed the general podium. For its part, the Spanish team of Luis Bugallo and Jorge Lorenzo took the fourth place of the general and the third place within the European context... the regatists of the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo, despite entering the competition with very bad times, went back over the course of the four days of competition until they were placed in the third drawer of the podium.

In the 49th "FX" mode, the Galician team, made up of Patricia Suárez and María Alonso, both from the Nautico Club of Vigo, were champions. This was a minor competition in which only three boats participated, so the vines only had to compete against the team made up of Marcos Fernández and Pedro García, both of the Royal Nautical Club of Portosín, and an English boat formed by Vikki Payne and Alice Masterman.
