Carlos Balaguer and Antoni Massanet have today crowned youth European champions in class 420. The championship, held in the Lake di Garda, has had the participation of 109 boats in the Open class and 42 sub-17 teams. The Spanish crew, formed by the regatists of the Real Club Náutico Valencia and Real Club Náutico Palma, today completed the last day of a competition that they led from the beginning with a net result of 42 points, compared to the 89 of the team classified in second position, formed by the Americans Dylan Ancencios and Nich Chisari. The third position in the general 'open' has been for the Italians Edoardo Ferraro and Francesco Orlando, with 103 points.

The Spanish Patricia Kingdom and Carlota Hopkins, at 12 of the Open class general, have been the best female crew, imposing themselves on the British Hatty Morsley and Pippa Cropley, and the English team Isabel Davis and Gemma Keers.

In the category sub 17, Martín Wizner and Pedro Ameneiro, from the Real Club Náutico de Vigo, have defended the third place with which today they have finished their participation in the European Championship. With bronze, Wizner and Ameneiro have completed the podium led by the local Demetrio Sposato and Gabriele Centrone. The Greeks Ariadni-Papaskevi Spanaki and Myrto Papadopoulo, have finished in second position.

Two Spanish teams have also competed in the youth category of the 470 class. Enric Noguera and Fernando Dávila were octaves of the general after the class's medal race dispute. Along with them, the brothers David and Alex Charles Vila competed in the final race, in the general youth classification of the 470 males.
