The Guillermo Poyán Memorial, for the Snipe Master fleet, comes to its second edition after the organizational success and participation achieved last year. Once again the race is fought on a single day, 12 August, with three planned tests. The Liceo Casino Club de Mar is again the lung of the race, although this edition also has the collaboration of the Club Depornautica Arousa and Sela Lima de Pires. The organizing committee hopes to have a participation close to the 15 Snipe Master ships, mainly from Galicia, although some units from northern Spain are not discarded.

The organizing committee plans to contest three tests, with the first exit top set at 4.30 p.m. After the tests, and by the evening, there will be the delivery of trophies within a party, at which will be awarded a set of Pires de Lima candles to the winning boat.

The 'Memorial Guillermo Poyán', president of honor of the Liceo Casino Club de Mar and one of the great drivers of the sailing in Vilagarcía de Arousa, has had two acts in this edition. The first of these took place last July, 17-21, with the collaboration of the Galego de Vela Centre, in which a course was held to initiate the sailing for the younger, giving all of them diplomas and crediting their participation.
