This weekend was held in the waters of Gijón Bay, the sixth edition of the Trophy President of the Real Club Astur de Regatas de Cruises, two carousel tours between buoys with the end in front of the beach of San Lorenzo. The wind blew from the Northeast, with an intensity of between 10 and 12 knots, with a short wave on a splendid summer day.
From the beginning of the first manga, the Taxus MedioAmbiente, by Alfredo Flórez and the Great Sailing One, by Fernando Alonso took the head of the fleet sailing very close to each other. The triumph was for Flórez who first crossed the line of arrival, followed by Fernando Alonso and Santiniebla-Lener, José Luis Alonso.
The second test was then held under the same route and the same conditions of sea and wind. The Taxus MedioAmbiente and the Great Sailing One arrived very close together to the first beacon, preferably for the Taxus MedioAmbiente that turned first, from here on, the Taxus gradually distanced itself from the rest of the fleet, only the Spi break in the last bars of the test slowed the arrival of the winning ship to the finish line. On this occasion the Santiniebla-Lener with the president of the Regatas Club, Alfredo Alegría on board got the second square, which would ultimately be worth the second place in the general, tied to points with the Great Sailing One, which would end third.
