The Mount Real Club de Yates and the Marin Military Naval School organize a new edition of one of the most important races in the Spanish nautical landscape: the Prince of Asturias Trophy. This 2017 will take place on 1, 2 and 3 September and will again host, one more year, the National Vela Terras Guda Awards. To this end the Monte Real has already opened the registration period for the race, with important advantages for the most mature.

2017- REGATAN ANNOUNCEMENT - TROFIO PRINCIPLE OF ATURIES

The race of the Prince of Asturias, which was initially SAR Don Felipe de Borbón and Greece, was born in 1986, coinciding with the period of castrense formation of Don Felipe at the Military Naval School of Marin... the one who managed to allow the Royal House to celebrate it had been the ex-wildman of the Yates Club, and then was the Assistant Field of Don Juan Carlos I, Rafael Lorenzo Montero. The sponsor of that event was the Diputación de Pontevedra, and the agreement of the patronage was agreed at a working lunch held on Mount Real in the beginning of the spring of 1986 that was attended by Estanislao Durán García (comodoro), Adriano Marqués de Magallanes (vice president of the Diputación de Pontevedra), Manuel Pedro Seoane Cordal (director-manager)... and the current Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy Brey! who was then the president of the provincial institution. The economic strength achieved now 31 years ago was important: 1,500,000 pesetas... that only a dozen years later, in those years of Rolex, Porsche, Osborne, Pescanova... reached 50,000,000 pesetas... that is, 300,000 euros today, but of course 20 years ago... who caught them today, right?
