The Galician regatists: Gonzalo Araújo, Pablo Iglesias and Edu Reguera, were proclaimed this noon European champions of the Offshore Racing Council (ORC) in the Polish town of Gdansk. The Spaniards sailed in Swan 45 Finnish "Blue Nights" on a crew in which they were a team with elite athletes from Italy, Belgium and Finland. In Vigo, Gonzalo Araújo was the tactic of the ship, the Vigués Pablo Iglesias took the major and the Ronda Reguera the stick.

The Blue Nights curated an excellent championship with two first and three seconds, dismissing a sixth that was their worst score. The ship they sailed on had already won the previous race to the European. After them, they completed the Danish podium with "Tarok VII" and Germany with "Sportsfreund." This is an excellent role for our representatives, who thus increase their extensive role in the international sailing.
