The offer presented by the Nautical Club of Vigo, was finally chosen as the "proposal of greatest interest" by the Harbour Authority of the Balearic Islands... the good news has sat frankly well in the nautical environments

The Board of Administration of the Harbour Authority of the Balearic Islands (APB) has approved the application for concession submitted by the Nautical Club of Ibiza as a proposal of greater port interest for the construction and exploitation of a nautical installation in the port of Eivissa. The technical commission responsible for evaluating the proposals submitted to this project competence has considered that the one of the Nautical Club of Ibiza is the one of the most port interest and has informed the president of the APB who has raised it to the Board of Directors for its subsequent approval.

The proposal of the Ibiza Nautical Club provides for an investment of EUR 7 '5 million and a management period of 35 years. The Ibiza Nautical Club completed its concession for the management of the moorings in the Iberian port in 2010 and has since been operating the marina by means of temporary occupation authorizations.

In 2015, under article 86 of the Consolidated Text of the Law on State Ports and the Merchant Navy (TRLPEMM), the Ibiza Nautical Club submitted an application for a new concession for a marked nautical installation of a social character and occupied in 80% by vessels not exceeding 12 meters. The APB initiated a project competence procedure to which three proposals were submitted. In February 2017 the Board of Directors of the APB approved the criteria to govern the choice of the proposal of the most port interest in this project competence. Finally, the technical commission selected as the best proposal the one presented by the Nautical Club of Ibiza.
