Carlota Sánchez, ninth in the female general, and Alvaro Valido, silver sub17 and eleven in the male, the best Spanish representatives in Poland

The Youth European Championship of the Laser Radial class, held in Gdynia, Poland, ended with two Spanish ships in the top 10 of the class. The Canaria Carlota Sánchez finished the European in seventh position. In male, the also canary Alvaro Valido got the silver in category sub17 and was eleventh in general after ten trials in Gdynia.

Three other Spanish representatives were able to stand out in the youth European among the 25 best regatists of Laser Radial: Victori Simó, 15; Pere Ponseti, 18; and Marcelo Cairo, 22. Compying in category sub17, Pep Hunter closed his participation in the fifty-eight post of the general. The gold of the Laser Radio Youth European Championship in the female category was for the Polish Wictoria Golebiowska and in male for the Hongkonese Nicholas Bezy.
