Se recogieron 67,8 kilos de residuos de unos 850 metros de orilla del río cuyo destino final hubiera sido el mar

67.8 kilos of waste of about 850 meters of river shore were collected for the final destination of the sea

The Ecomar and Coca-Cola Foundation have chosen the Tormes River, as it passes through the Puente del Duque, to clean the coast in 2017 inland waters. Thus, the fourth cleaning of the season has been completed and this time along with the children of the Summer Camp Respira Ocio and Free Time, who spend this summer beginning in the abulian town of Hoyos del Espino. The 42 children, accompanied by the volunteers Ecomar have been dedicated to cleaning 850 meters on both sides of the river, of which they have managed to remove 67.8 kilos of waste. A new cleaning of solidarity, with the intention of educating by transferring the culture of recycling and respect for the environment, to children between 7 and 14 years old and that will have its impact on the donation by Coca- Cola of cans of products to the Food Bank, to be distributed among the most disadvantaged. It is a question of making them understand that everything that they do not recycle or deposit in the containers will end up at sea with the consequent damage to our planet.

In the cleaning projects, Theresa Zabell, president of the Ecomar Foundation, told children about the importance of environmental care and recycling. "The sea is a source of life and that is why we have to look after it and look after it so that it is not over and will continue to give us the resources to eat... you will wonder why we are cleaning up this wonderful natural site, and it is very easy to answer... although we are more than 600 kilometers from the sea, everything we do not collect here, sooner or later will go to the sea and it will get dirty... the rain and wind will take the waste to the rivers and they will deposit it in the sea... the sea, which is part of the wise nature, will return it with the same to the earth and our ecosystem will not be left to the sea, so that we will not be able to take care of the sea, so that we will not be able to get a moment we have to live, so that we have to do a sea, so that we will not have a time that we will not be able to take care of the sea, so that we will not have a time we will not have to live, so that we will not have a sea, so that we have a time we will not be able to take care of the sea, so that we have to do that we will not have to.
