Total success of the day Fundación Ecomar-Coca Cola in the Nautico de Valencia

The Valencia Nautico turned with Ecomar and Coca- Cola... they collected 354.7 kilos of waste... in the action were 195 children, the record so far of participation in a program of these characteristics
The Ecomar and Coca-Cola Foundation has performed the third "Cleanup of Costas" of 2017 with the children of the sailing school and the summer school of the Royal Nautical Club of Valencia. After cleaning Higuera cove in the Cape of Gata, the Ecomar Volunteers moved in their Infiniti to Valencia. A total of 195 children between 7 and 14 years of age cleared 800 metres of coast all morning at the mouth of the Guadalavial River, near the Canina de Pinedo beach, from which 354.7 kilos of waste were extracted. A new cleaning of solidarity, with the intention of educating by transferring the culture of recycling and respect for the environment, to children aged 7 to 14. It is a question of making them understand that everything that they do not recycle or deposit in the containers will end up at sea with the consequent damage to our planet.
Before getting to the work Theresa Zabell gave a master class on environment and recycling indicating to the children that "everything we will throw to the ground and do not deposit in their respective container will go to the sea. The rain and the wind will take him to the rivers and they will put him in the sea. The sea, which is part of the wise nature, will return it with them to the earth and our marine ecosystem will resist until a moment comes to die. The double Olympic champion had an impact on one of its highest. "We only have one body and one planet, so we have no chance of changing it as we do with clothes, ships, bicycles, so we have to take care of them so that we don't run out of... we are pioneers in coast cleaning with children, we have been doing it for many years, specifically since 2007... we are proud that others have decided to do the same thing we have. This is the way more we will fight for the health state of our seas and get to clean up more kilometers of coast, collect more kilos of waste and raise awareness of more children." They accompanied Theresa Zabell and the Ecomar Volunteers, María Jesús Andrés, from Coca- Cola and staff of the Royal Nautical Club of Valencia, whom Theresa Zabell thanked for their great generosity in making the entire club turn into this action.
Since 2011, Ecomar and Coca-Cola have cleaned more than 37 km of coast, through 25 cleanings that have only been the collection of more than two tons of waste and more than 62,000 cans of product donated to the Food Bank since 2014. Remember that Coca-Cola, at the end of the season, translates the kilos of waste that are collected into product cans to donate to the Food Bank.
