After three days of competition with five trials held for all the ORC classes, the eighth edition of the International Marine Nautical Club Trophy - the Spanish Orc Cruise Cup, with ships from Catalonia, Alicante and Murcia, with victories for Hydra in ORC 1, Tanit III - Medilevel in ORC 2, Black Octopus in ORC 3-4 and Bernique in Promotion class, was completed in Torrevieja waters.

The Promotion class will complete the tour only in a south direction, not including the beacon of Cape Cervera.

The VIII International Marine Trophy - Spanish Cup of Cruises ORC Zona Valenciana has been presented this morning in the village of the race, which over the next three days will host regatists and partners of the nautical club, who will share experiences at sea and fun on land. The International Marine Nautical Club Trophy celebrates its 8th edition this year with a renewed concept. The Club Náutico Marina Internacional de Torrevieja is committed to promoting its emblem race, which will have three days of competition instead of one and will be marked for the Spanish Cup of ORC Zona Valenciana. The organization hopes to have a good participation, as the test can be a good preparation for the King's Cup. To encourage the participation of ships outside Torrevieja, the Nautical Club Marina International offers free mooring one week before and another week after the test. The boat of the Royal Nautical Club of Torrevieja, Maverta - Defcom Seguridad, by Pedro Gil, has already confirmed its presence in the test, among other pointed units in the area.

The fleet will be divided into classes ORC 1, ORC 2, ORC 3 and Promotion to dispute the tests, which will begin on Friday, July 14, at 15: 30. A maximum of five tests are planned during the three days of competition, which will consist of barlovento-sotavento tours on Friday and Sunday, and a 25-mile coastal tour on Saturday. For its part, the Promotion class that hosts the local boats that traditionally carry out the family races, will only perform the coastal race with a slightly shorter tour, of 18 miles, in a south direction.

Located in the Dársena de Torrevieja and founded in 1987 as Marina International, the Club Náutico Marina International became a nautical club in 2009, and has the highest capacity of the Alicantina town. The club is committed to high-level sports events and the Marine International Nautical Club Trophy is its most important race, along with the Pascual Flores Trophy and the Naval Regatta.
