Again, the Bay of San Lorenzo was the stage for the weekend, of the XIX Isastur- University of Oviedo Regata, a test organized jointly by the Real Club Astur de Regatas and the University. Two very competitive days where the absolute winner, was not decided until the last stretch of the second manga on Sunday. The wind blew from loose to moderate of Northeast component, in two cloudy days and with the sea calm.

The university race began on Saturday at 15: 35 in front of the Regatas Club, with a 5-knots loose wind. During the course of the test the wind came down to 2 knots of intensity, which caused a very slow sleeve. The BullBox, by Luis Noguera gradually moved away from the fleet, crossing the line of arrival in the first place, and with enough time to be in the first position of the general. The Taxus MedioAmbiente, by Alfredo Flórez who defended the title was second, followed by the student ship, University of Oviedo- Grupo Isastur, patronado by Roberto Álvarez Bucetas.

However, on Sunday the race began at 13: 05 on the same stage and similar tour the previous day, although the wind would rise to 10 knots and the stretches were extended by 0.3 miles. The BullBox again took the lead in the sleeve, however, on this occasion it was not able to take off enough from the Taxus Environment, which once the time compensation had been made defeated by 45 seconds to the BullBox, thus the Taxus repeated the triumph achieved in the last edition. For its part, the University of Oviedo- Grupo Isastur would end up in third position, closing the podium posts.

In class II, Daniel Ponte's Espumeru was imposed by the minimum of the Silfo, by José Ángel García, who fought until the last minute to win the class. The third position was for Pedro Guerra, from Ita II.

23 / 06 / 2017: This weekend the Astur de Regatas organizes the Regata Isastur- University of Oviedo

At the Real Club Astur de Regatas de Gijón, the presentation of the XIX Regata Isastur- University of Oviedo, where representatives of the organization, as well as local and regional authorities linked to the world of sport in general and of sailing in particular, took place. Next Saturday at three and a half in the afternoon, in the waters of the bay of San Lorenzo will be given the pistoletazo of exit to the first manga of the trophy, a barlovento-sotavento tour of approximately 12 miles. On Sunday the test will start at 13: 00, under a route similar to Saturday.

Two groups are established: Class I and II, with an individual classification and a joint general, therefore, there will be an absolute winner in the competition. The bulk of the Gijonese fleet is expected to be present in one of the most traditional races in the Principality of Asturias. As a colophone to the test, the award will be held, which will take place on Sunday at 20: 00, at the facilities of the Real Club Astur de Regatas located on the hill of Santa Catalina.
