The city of A Coruña hosted the first edition of the Northwest Pro, which was born on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Galician Federation of Surf, in which some of the national surf figures were seen that will chain several quotes in the north of the Galician community, as they will shortly be gathered at the Spain Surf Championship. The Brazilian Hispanic surfer Vicente Romero, who lives in Ferrol, became a prophet on his land and showed all his innovative and progressive surf repertoire. In the final he had to compete with the Basque surfer Hodei Collón, who was one of the favorites, but gave him little choice during the final. In the female category, the Ferrolan surfer Isa Gundín was imposed on the Asturian Lucía Martiño, Marta Santiago and Lola Bermudez, showing a very solid surf throughout the event.
