Red Bull Youth Americas Cup: Spanish Impulse by Iberostar ends sixth
At 19: 07 o'clock, peninsular time, the second day of the final of the Bull Youth America's Cup, in which the Spanish Impulse by IBEROSTAR team had the difficult task to reassemble, in the face of the best youth crews of the moment.
The day did not begin with a good foot for the Spaniards, because despite the good departure, Jordi Xammar's master ship did not find the place in a very roll and with changes of intensity in the wind. Finally the Spanish drive by IBEROSTAR achieved seventh place, leading the German team in the classification.
The second handle was reversed, a bad way out with penalization but with a very concentrated Spanish Impulse by IBEROSTAR going up board on board to achieve the fourth position in the sleeve, which gave the Spanish a break.
The third test was really of infarction, bad way out with penalty included but with a Spanish team Impress by IBEROSTAR taking advantage of each role and each failure of the rivals, making it possible to advance 4 positions in the final section in which the Swedish and German ship had serious problems taking the last buoy, placing third in the finish line.
With these results Spanish Impulse by IBEROSTAR puts the brooch of gold to its participation in the Red Bull Youth America's Cup with a meritorious sixth place of twelve boats, certainly a great performance for this young team.
According to the tactic Diego Botín: "There are many aspects we have learned and we have to improve. It has been a championship with very good rivals and we have competed with a great crew. We thank everyone who has made this possible as it has been an unparalleled experience."
Final classification:
1. Land Rover BAR Academy 50 points
2. NZL Sailing Team 48 points
3. Team Tilt 42 points
4. Artemis Youth Racing 37 points
5. Team France Jeune 35 points
6. English Print by IBEROSTAR 34 points
7. SVB Team Germany 33 points
8. Team BDA 33 points

The Spanish team started with an excellent third... but the second race was regular and the third one was last... so we are in line with the classification (Photo Ricardo Pinto)
I start at Hamilton from the Red Bull Youth America's Cup with excellent weather conditions (winds of six to ten knots with the sea calm), and the planned three-sleeves program can be completed. On-line the eight teams classified: Team BDA of Bermuda, Team France Jeune of France, SVB Team Germany of Germany, Land Rover BAR Academy of Great Britain, NZL Sailing Team of New Zealand, Artemis Youth Racing of Sweden and the Swiss Team Tilt. On the part of our representatives the Spanish Impress by IBERSOSTAR that sails with the grinpola of Club Níutic Cambrils, a group of excellent and young regatists 18 to 24 years old composed of Jordi Xammar a la rea, Diego Botín as tactic, Luis Bugallo in the bow, Joan Cardona as grinder, Joel Rodríguez and Kevin Cabrera as in charge of raising and lowering the foils and Florian Trittel. A sufficient team to play a great role... and so was in the first of the scheduled races in which the Spanish ship curved a great race in the third place, thus achieving its first 8 points... in this competition the winning ship in each sleeve reaches 10 points, and is going down one point for each position.
In the second race, the French were the ones who won over the British Land Rover, who were again second... the "our" made a series of mistakes and entered the penultimate, adding only four points... In the third day the Land Rover achieved victory, which has shown that they are going for all with a total in the first day of 2º -2º -1, leading them to 28 points, beating the Swiss of Team Tilt in seven points with a series of 5º -3º -4, equated in score with the French that add 4º -1° -7. Spain in this manga took the last position and needs a second day of a big round.

14 / 06 / 2017: Red Bull Youth America's Cup: Spanish Print by IBEROSTAR to the final

Triple head tie between New Zealand, Great Britain and Spain, which together with Bermuda will be at the End of the Bull Youth America's Cup
Great second day of race, of the semi-finals of the Red Bull Youth America's Cup in Bermuda, where the Spanish team Impulse by IBEROSTAR, has managed to qualify for the great final, after signing two third and a first place, which have made him tie with New Zealand and Britain in the head of the classification, on a day marked by the loose winds and rolls, which have not allowed the AC 45 to "fly" on either day.
The first manga was the same as the previous day, with a wind that did not exceed 7 knots of intensity and that had the crews used in depth. Great departure of the Spanish Impulse by IBEROSTAR team, which allowed the ship patrolling by Jordi Xammar, to take over the fleet. Because of the difficulty of the camp he gave to New Zealand and Bermuda, they managed to sneak into the first two posts, leaving Spanish Impulse by IBEROSTAR in the third part.
The second manga could not start better, Spanish Impress by IBEROSTAR in the first buoy to dismark, which allowed him to mark his closest rivals, Britain and New Zealand, finally the Spanish team managed to stretch in the last stretch achieving its first partial victory in this championship, second New Zealand and third Austria that managed to cut a large manga.
With the headposts to be decided, Spanish drive by IBEROSTAR again made a great exit that placed him at the headposts, despite which the wind went down by relegating the Spaniards to the fifth square, but a superb last stretch of the Cambrils Nautical Club managed to reassemble two posts, one of them on the same line of arrival, giving the point of the tie.
After these partial Spain is classified for the end of the Red Bull Youth America's Cup that will be held on June 20 and 21 and will have the 8 best teams on the starting line. The final classification of Group B is as follows:
1 - NZL Sailing Team 51 Points
2 - Land Rover BAR Academy 51 Points
3 - Spanish Print by IBEROSTAR 51 Points
4 - Team BDA 45 Points
5 - Next Generation USA 36 Points
6 - Candidate Sailing Team Austria 36 Points
13 / 06 / 2017: Spanish Print by IBEROSTAR, begins second the Red Bull Youth America's Cup
Good day of race for the Spanish Impress By IBEROSTAR team that has managed to place second in the general classification of group B, in the classification races for the great final of the Red Bull Youth America's Cup, marking some partial of 2-2-4. The Day began well for the team of the Nautical Club of Cambrils, which managed to get in the positions of head after departure, it was certainly a complicated day, as the wind never exceeded the seven knots of speed. In spite of this, the Spanish drive by IBEROSTAR was able to hold until he achieved second place after the Land Rover BAR Academy of Great Britain.
The second manga was almost a first, very good way out with Spanish Impulse by IBEROSTAR taking the first one the buoy of dismantling, along with the New Zealand Sailing Team, a team with which he would fight to the end and in which the kiwis managed to stretch the manga victory, with Spanish Impulse by IBEROSTAR second to few slices.
The third manga changed the general tone of the day, bad exit of the Spanish drive by IBEROSTAR, but with a race that was from less to more and that from the last position it was achieved to the fourth place, with British, Team Bermuda and New Zealand just ahead. With these results, the Spanish Impulse by IBEROSTAR is the second place, only over the Land Rover and followed by Team Bermuda. According to team coach Toni Rivas: "It has been a good initial day for the team fighting for the headposts on the first two sleeves and a good recovery after a bad exit on the third. Tomorrow we will have to be vigilant to continue to fight and get into the big ending."
Today at 22: 00 Spanish time will begin the second and final day of semifinals, in which the Spanish Impulse by IBEROSTAR will play the pass to the great final.
