Piragüismo Pamplona who led the Spanish Ríos Championship in the total classification as well as in the medallion, a triumph that sharpens him in the first position of the National League... Covadonga Culture Group and School of Piragüismo Aranjuez shared podium... the organizers Los Cuervos Linpac, on their anniversary party of the 50 years of their foundation

This weekend the Spanish Ríos Championship was held in Pravia (Asturias) in which the host club Los Cuervos Linpac celebrated the 50 years of its foundation. Piragüismo Pamplona- Iruñea Piraguismoa won the championship over a total of 50 participating clubs and shared the podium with the Covadonga Culture Group of Gijón and the School of Piragüismo Aranjuez that ended in second and third position respectively.

On the individual level Amaia Osaba in category K1 absolute woman was proclaimed champion of Spain ahead of her club partner Pilar del Villar who ended in second position making a magnificent double. Pedro Areal in C1, an absolute man, in a hard race, set after an accidental exit, managed to get into a first position in front of his also club partner Julián Serrano, who ended up in third position getting for Piragüismo Pamplona the second fold of the day. The youth palists Sebastián López and Víctor Arcos in K2 and Nerea Hidalgo in K1 got second position and Ainhoa Hidalgo in woman K1 sub-23 was third by closing the Pamplona Piragüismo Medal with a total of medals.

The fourth position of Aurkene Aroca in K1 young woman and the fifth positions of Amaia Azkona and Amaiur Barber in K2 male cadet and Mikel Arregui and Pablo Colomo in K2 male youth are to be noted. The participation of Piragüismo Pamplona was completed by Martín Otazu, Andrea García, Felipe Besada, Ivan Arcos, David Palacios, Moises Grijalba, Ismael Mesa, Javier Palacios and José Manuel Presas Bergantiños. With this magnificent result the Pamplona Piragüismo is strengthening its leadership in the league, waiting to participate in the last of the four races that make it and that will be held in the reservoir of Trasona Asturias on 12 and 13 August.
