La ACNB, preocupada por la pérdida de la concesión del Náutico de Gandía en favor de una empresa lucrativa

The ACN of Baleares, is concerned about the loss of the concession of the Gandia Nautico in favor of a lucrative company

The Board of Directors of the Association of Nautical Clubs of the Balearic Islands (ACNB), which met for this purpose in the Nüutic Club of Ciutadella, has warned of the danger of "privatization of the sea" by buoy fields if the decree on the protection of ocean posidonia comes into force as it appears in the draft presented by the Environmental Council. The clubs want to make it clear, in the face of the confusion that the interested readings of their position are generating, that the partners of these entities do not ask to fondear on posidonia. "At no time has this practice been defended. As a navigator, we know better than anyone that to leave the anchor in posidonia is a nonsense, both from the environmental point of view and from the safety of the boat," said Miquel Suñer, president of the ACNB, who has denounced that the draft does not prevent the creation of areas of payment fondeo in sandals where the use of the anchor has no impact: "Public opinion must know that the defense of the posidonia, in which the clubs are the first concerned, is being used as a political weapon and as a pretext for the creation of the areas of the sea, which are still the same as the privatizing of the areas, which are the areas of the sea, which are still the same as the freedom of the sea, which are in which are the same as the areas of the."

The ACNB does not understand, on the other hand, on which scientific basis the Environmental Council gives itself a five-year period for the public treatment plants to submit projects to adapt to the protection decree, when the UIB has just demonstrated that the mass discharge of fecal waters is destroying the seabed, causing the death of large extensions of posidonia in the Bay of Palma and even the emergence of bacteria... "The Govern seeks to establish the merit of prohibiting the posidonia phondeum already established in fact by the 2007 Protected Species Act, to which the ocean posidonia was incorporated in 2011, and yet it provides coverage to the emissaries of the treatment plants for a period that goes beyond the present legislature. Our impression is that they are making efforts to reiterate a ban and to step on the real environmental problem.", stated Rafael Palmer, manager and legal adviser of the ACNB.

Concessions
The loss of the concession of the Royal Nautical Club of Gandia in favour of a private company with a share capital of 3,000 euros and with no experience in port management has been another aspect of the board of directors of the ACNB, which admits to be very concerned about the lack of relationship between the political discourse for the social nautical and the facts. "What we are seeing is that the authorities of the whole country say one thing and, at the time of truth, they do the opposite, always for the benefit of lucrative companies that have interests crossed in different autonomous communities," said Suñer, referring to the relationship of people existing between the society to which the Harbour Authority of Valencia (APV) intends to award the Nautic of Gandia and that which has presented itself to the process of competition of projects of the Nautical Club of Ibiza. "We are facing a clear organized attack on the nautical clubs and the social and sports function that we develop, and we will not stop denouncing it by the appropriate means." As for the Andratx Sailing Club, whose concession has been overturned by a recent Supreme Court ruling, ACNB is confident that a solution can be reached that will allow the historic entity to continue its sports projects in light sailing, sailing adapted for persons with disabilities, cruise and pyragüism. In this same sense, the Board of Directors of the Association of Nautical Clubs expects that, before the end of the year, the Harbour Authority of Baleares will resolve the concessions of the Nautical Club of Ibiza, the Real Nautical Club of Palma and the Molinar Maritime Club of Levante, which have been meant for their support to social nautical and sport.
