The Conde Godó Sailing Trophy, which has been held since 1974 under the organization of the Royal Nautical Club of Barcelona and the support of the Godó family, has closed today in Barcelona waters an exciting 44th edition, in which the Rats on Fire has achieved its eighth title as champion and the fifth consecutive, in the class ORC 0-1. In J80 the Bribon-Movistar has been imposed, which gets its third Godó, while in ORC 2 and ORC 3-4 there has been no surprise, with the victory of L'Immens and Fanytas, respectively.

The third and last day of competition of the 44 Sailing Trophy Conde Godó has been fought with winds of the SE of 10 to 14 knots, with frequent changes of direction and intensity, so that the favorite crews and the aspirants have had to be employed in depth in the waters of Barcelona. The ORC groups have completed two sleeves, while the J80 monotypes have made up to three, for a total of six and eight throughout the tournament, respectively.

In ORC 0-1, the Swan 45 Rats on Fire of the Catalan shipowner Rafael Carbonell, who today also patronized, has successfully defended the title of champion, which has achieved his eighth Count of Godó Trophy and the fifth consecutive, after a final day of infarction, in which he has joined a third and a second. "We are very happy with the victory," said Carles Rodríguez, the patron of L'Immes, "because the modifications we have made on the ship have been proved effective. We have been lucky enough to sail ahead, so we have taken advantage of having free wind."

In ORC 3-4, the Dufour 34 Fanytas, who patronize Ingrid Banus, has been imposed for the second consecutive year. This amateur ship of the CN Port D'Aro is the third victory in the Sail Trophy Conde Godó, as it was also raised to the top of the podium in 2013. He has taken a five-point approach to the second ranked, Marc Delgado's Bavaria 36 Tibere (CM Sitges), which repeats last year's subchampionship.

The patron of Fanytas, Ingrid Banus, has been very pleased to have been able to revalidate last year's triumph. "There are already three Godo, it is to celebrate!" he added.
