2017 General ranking first test

01 / 06 / 2017: At the edge of 6: 00 p.m. "Spaniard" and "Witch" lead the fleet of the Ifach Peñón Regatta

The fleet of 50 ships participating in the 29th Peñón Trophy of Ifach, which is disputed between 1 and 3 June, enjoins its proas to the island of Formentera, the first of two tests planned by the Royal Nautical Club of Calpe with a total of 64.5 nautical miles of journey. The second will take place with a reverse tour: Formentera-Calpe and whose departure will take place on Saturday, June 3. As for this first test, at 10: 00 hours the exit was given with a low wind that was between 5 and 6 knots, although already exceeded the 'protection of the Ifach Peñón' a slight breeze arrived for the joy of the fleet, which began to sail with better wind conditions. Exit with a fleet very divided in the line, if a clear position so the fleet behind the horn has been opened in Calpe Bay. The Benidorman Pajuelin XIII Benidorm is the one that has been the most decanted by the right board, although the Sicantine Spaniard, more by the center, has also found its place to be ahead. In the same line, there were Tanit 4 Medilevel led by Nacho Campos, Dignity 3 Ford Moilsa de Tomás Llorens, the Galván de Álex Pella, Brujo de Alberto de Castro or Tagomago, mainly. The rest have been sought the choice of the left, and without going clearly on the board of land, although some of them have sailed closer to the rock. That major bulk of the fleet has been navigated quite grouped in those first race bars, with 64.5 nautical miles remaining to reach the Navy of Formentera.

In close proximity are Alzira Moraira, Nautic Café del Mar, Tanit 3 Mediorda, Pajuelín XIII Benidorm, Galvana, Sacmpi 45 and Ziving.

31 / 05 / 2017: The Peñón de Ifach de Vela de Altura with 50 ships starts in Calpe

With 50 registered ships, the 20th edition of the Peñón Trophy of Ifach de Vela de Altura, which will be held until the next day 3 June, is started in Calpe, under the organization of the Royal Nautical Club of Calpe. The first stage on the first of June, beginning at 10: 00 in the morning. One of the great favorites and that is in the end one of the ocean patterns of fashion, as is Alex Pella will compete with "Galvana" of the Navy of Denia in ORC B. But Pella's boat is not going to be the only protagonist and not the one in which it enters the quinielas to be on the podium both on Formentera and on the second test, with the exit on the 3rd between Formentera and Calpe.

To quote one of them we have the largest boat in the fleet, the "Alzira Moraira" of Augustine Gregori a Swan 75 of the Nautical Moraira. This group also includes very powerful units with a very high level, in the case of the Valencians "Brujo" (Swan 42) and "Ziving" (Grand Soleil 46), the alicantines "Dignity-ford Molvisa" (Mat 1245) or the "Tanit III Medilevel" (IMX 40). To them, and in this category, also the local "Itaca IX" by Manuel Gallego with a First 47.7 joins that group that has options to be on the podium.

The ocean regatist Alex Pella has been one of the great protagonists on this previous day, offering a talk about his experience, experiences and his latest achievements in ocean races in solitaire and reduced crew

As for the ORC B fleet, the list grows in the number of favorites, in this case we have some the best the Salona 37 or the smaller ones, highlight the "Tanit IV" (Grand Soleil 37), in addition to "Aleph IV," "Kalamandurrio" or the ships of Calpe "Jumbuck" and "Pipe." With regard to the ORC C, the "Alter Ego" of the Royal Nautical Club of Denia, the "Formable" of the Nautico of Valencia, the "Keiko" of the Nautical Club of Jávea, the "Lula" of the Nautico of the Vilajoyosa, or the ships of Calpe "Alvent III," "Blade" and "Isabella."

The wind conditions for the journey are expected with little wind, so it will be a complicated but very tactical race. By Friday, June 2, at around 21: 30 hours, it is planned to deliver trophies in the Navy of Formentera to the winners of that first stage. The second test is scheduled to be released on Saturday 3 with the exit top at 10: 00. The party end with the delivery of trophies of that second and general test will take place at the facilities of the Nautico de Calpe, during a dinner to be held on June 10.
