The Adrián Hotels premiere in the Count of Godó Trophy with a winning ship
The Adrián Hoteles Macaronesia reaches the 44 edition of the Trophy Conde de Godó de Vela from the Canary Islands. The team is looking to premiere this season in one of the top races of the national calendar, which will be held from 2 to 4 June in Barcelona waters.
This season the Adrián Hotels has acquired a new boat with which it will compete in the ORC class. It is a model Sydney 43 GTS, built in 2014 and in the 2015 season it rose to the podium in 8 of the 10 races in which it participated with victories in the Fasnet Rock, North Sea Race and fourth place in the Cowes Week, among other successes.
On this occasion, the ship that competes under the grympola of Nautical Activities of Tenerife and as collaborators are Jucarne and Isla de la Gomera, seeks to be one of the pointed ships in the class ORC 1, where they will be seen with ships such as the Catalan Rats on Fire of Rafa Carbonell, the Blue of Diana Corominas or the Maserati ballet, among others.
The owner and patron of the Adrián Hotels, Daniel Adrián, knows that the Count of Godó Trophy is the best test bank for the Mapfre King's Cup, the top race of the season: "We have a champion ship. The crew is at a time of acclimatization, we are just doing tests and optimisations" and explains that "although we are short of hours of navigation to make the most of the ship, we take the Count of Godó Trophy as the perfect race to continue growing with the ship and evolve it in competition."
As usual, the Adrián Hoteles Macaronesia will have a fully canarian crew led by the Tinean Daniel Adrián.
The Adrián Hoteles Macaronesia will participate this season in the Conde de Godó Trophy (June), the Mapfre King's Cup (August) and will close with the Huelva- La Gomera Ocean Regatta (September).
