The race extends its duration and will be for the first time the Spanish Championship of Cruises ORC Mediterranean Area

The Torrevieja International Marine Nautical Club will hold the 8th edition of the International Marine Nautical Club Trophy from July 13 to 16, which this year will be the first Spanish Mediterranean Cruise Championship and will have three days of competition instead of one. The test also features the web, where the race announcement and the possibility of online registration are already available. The Club is located in the dársena of Torrevieja, and has ten years of experience in organizing nautical sailing and fishing tests. In its eighth year of life, the International Marine Nautical Club Trophy has evolved to be in the calendar of great sailing competitions in the country.

The organization expects to have the participation of about half a hundred ships with ORC certificate, which will be divided into classes 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 depending on their characteristics. A total of five tests are scheduled to be held, beginning on Friday afternoon and ending on Sunday, consisting of four barlovento-sotavento and a coastal race. To encourage the participation of ships outside Torrevieja, the Nautical Club Marina International offers free mooring one week before and another week after the test. "We have thought that participants can take advantage of a few days after the race to know our coasts, which have much to offer at the tourist level"The president says the club.

Located in the Dársena de Torrevieja and founded in 1987 as Marina International, the Club Náutico Marina International became a nautical club in 2009, and has the highest capacity of the Alicantina town. The club is committed to high-level sports events and the Marine International Nautical Club Trophy is its most important race, along with the Pascual Flores Trophy and the Naval Regatta.
