According to the prestigious rotating Barcelona La Vanguardia, the Spanish Confederation of Nautical Clubs Associations has described as an authentic scandal the change of ownership in the concession of the facilities of the Royal Nautical Club of Gandia, which has decided these days the Harbour Authority of Valencia, which has surprised the Spanish nautical and is raising a wave of strong criticism towards the board of administration of this port administration.

CEACNA has denounced that the commercial society to which the concession has been awarded, was constituted five years ago with the ridiculous social capital of "3,000 euros!, considering that its ability to manage a facility such as those of Gandia, is at best" of most doubtful effectiveness... "and the Confederation goes further by interpreting what happened as a frontal attack of the Port of Valencia to the sailing as a sport, by wanting to turn the current nautical clubs into simple" garages, "thus closing access to the Spanish middle classes to the nautical.

The CEANCA states in its statement that "there are so many anomalies that have surrounded this case, that the CEACNA can only require that the Harbour Authority of Valencia answer each and every one of the many questions raised during the process of project competences..." demanding the protection of the president of State Ports so that "if there is no clear explanation and to clarify all the doubts, take letters in the matter," considering that "much is at stake."
