The European Championship was held in the Czech town of Racism in which Spain participated with six boats. In 2- women Spain held the sixth place in the A final, in which Romania, Denmark and Britain achieved the metals, Italy being the fourth and France the fifth. The Spanish tandem of two without heavy timonel was formed by the athletes of the Nautico Club of Seville: Valeria Palma and Carmen Ortiz, and were the best of the Spanish expedition to Czech lands. The 2-male our men were fighting the final B in which it was second, after the Belarusian. The same fate the 4- which was second in the final B behind the Germans... and was composed of the Andalusians Jaime Canalejo and Javier García of the Nautico Club of Seville, Ismael Montes de Labradores and the Basque Jon Carazo.

In light men 2x competed in the final B the Spaniards, occupying the sixth position... here the composition of the Spanish boat, it was for the Andalusian Patricio Rojas of the Nautico Club of Seville and the Galician Jesús González, of the Club de Remo A Robaleira de La Guardia (Pontevedra). While in female skiff Spain was third in the final B, being overtaken by the Dutch and Greek representatives. Finally in male skiff was obtained the third square of the final D, behind Turks and Greeks.
