The Provincial Cup of Alicante, within the program of the Rumbo Solidario Trophy, already has its champions. Today the second day has been closed in the Real Club Náutico de Calpe, club that has organized the race together with the Federation of Vela de la Comunitat Valenciana in which it has been possible to complete a single test of the two planned today. The day started with good conditions, the wind of 080º with about 7 knots of intensity, although the second of the day was cancelled to the second step by barlovento by the fall of the wind and continuous roles. In this test and in class ORC 1, the 42 feet have again imposed their law. Also those who had to say something in the face of the final podium have not failed. Thus, Marina Greenwich of Dominique Francisco Luna has been made with the final triumph thanks to a second place in the third test.

The Luna ship, along with yesterday's results (1-1), amounts to 4 points, one less than the second in the ORC 1 fleet, Maverta (RCN Torrevieja) of Pedro Gil, with a first today, and six on the third: Dignity 3 - Ford Moilsa (RCR Alicante) of Tomás Llorens, signing a third in the third test. In ORC 2, the favorites have not failed either. The Alicantino Tanit IV - Medilevel by Mª José Vila, with a total of three partial wins is taken to the RCR Alicante the trophy with 3 points. The second square has been for Kalamandurrio (CN Villajoyosa), 6 points from the winner while Guaguanco II (CN Altea) of Thierry Lallemand, third on the podium, ends with the same score that the ship of Lallemand, 9 points.

Alpeh III, from the nautical Altea and armed by Francisco Muñiz is proclaimed champion in ORC 3 with 4 points, followed by Chrono (CN Campomanes), to 1 and the local Blade that does 13 points. In ORC 4 the podium is closed with North Face (RCR Alicante), followed by Pecata Minuta (CN Altea) and Kristine (RCN Calpe). The award of trophies, held in the facilities of the Calpino club has been chaired by the town councillors Turimos and Sports of the City of Calpe Jan Van Parijs and Domingo Sánchez respectively, Carina Gimen, Delegate of Vela of the Real Club Náutico Calpe, accompanied by its manager, Jordi Carrasco.

20 / 05 / 2017: The Provincial Cup of Heavy Sailing of Alicante begins in the waters of Calpe

The Provincial Cup of Alicante, which is held this weekend at the Real Club Náutico de Calpe, within the Trophy Solidario and punctuable test for the 5 Clubs race, has been closed with the planned program of two tests, thanks to the good conditions with the wind of Levante that has ranged between 10- 12 knots of intensity. In this line, the Swan 42 Marina Geenwich of the nautical Campomanes and with Ramón Juneman to the cane has been placed provisional leader in ORC 1 with two first positions, after obtaining the compensated times.

Another 42 feet, a Rodman 42 from the Torrevieja RNC, Maverta with José Ballester leading the team, is located second of the class with two seconds on, while the Dignyty 3 Ford Moilsa (RCR Alicante) by Tomás Llorens is third thanks to the 4-3 partials. Behind the local Itaca IX (RNC Calpe) by Manuel Galician and fifth Limbo II (CN Altea). The Alicantino Tanit IV Median by Mª José Vila and with Nacho Campos in the cane is first in ORC 2 with two first positions. They follow Guaguanco II (RCN Calpe), Kalamandurrio (CN Villajosyosa), Dale Andar del nautical Altea and have a luxury crew, including the Imaz or Galician brothers Jesús Pintos and the Calpine Jumbuck. The difference between them, of the latter, is one point, that Tanit has 2 times 5 the second and 7 the third.

Chrono (CN Campomanes) and Aleph III (CN Altea) command in ORC 3. The first of them has signed in the two 2-1 tests, while the Altean has started his singlature in Calpe with 1 and then a 2, which has led Chrono to place himself a provisional leader. Blade (RCN Calpe), Lope de Vega (CN Campomanes) and Marina Six are left with the third, fourth and fifth temporary position. In the ORC 4 North Face (RCN Alicante), Pecata Minuta (CN Altea) and Kirstine they copy the provisional podium. The first of these amounts to 2 points, by 4 of the second and 8 of the third.
