Initia 't inaugurates by making known about 30 nautical trades among young people

It's officially opened. Initia 't, La Fira de la Nàutica i els seus officis, a competition that will serve to discover the sea as a horizon for a professional future, understanding the potential of the nautical sector as a development axis. The inaugural event was chaired by the mayor of Badalona, Dolores Sabater; the Director General of Fisheries and Maritime Afers, Sergi Tudela; the Councillor of Public Spaces of the City of Badalona, Francesc Duran; the Vice-President of the Barcelona Faculty of Nautics of the UPC, Juan Antonio Moreno; the Secretary General of the Association of Industries, Trade and Nautical Services (ADIN), Miquel Guarner; and the Director of the Imanol Sanz competition.

As a special guest, Didac Costa, the second Spanish to complete the Vendée Globe, who on Thursday morning has participated in tertulies with students and with the women's race team of the Barcelona Faculty of Nautics of the UPC, sponsored by Marina de Badalona. In its second year of celebration, Inicia 't has introduced a series of interesting changes, such as the installation of a tent of 50 m2 where up to 25 trades related to the sea and the nautical will be exhibited. From Socorrista to Technical Engineer, passing as a Machine Officer or Recreation Maintenance Technician, a glossary of professions that students can value and explore as possible future studies.

Due to the great weight of the trades at this fair, the first two days are dedicated exclusively to students who will carry out 2 water activities + 1 guided tour + 1 specific talk, in addition to the tour of the compound. Among the activities, visits will be made to the ships of Salvamento Marítimo, of fishing inspection, the Ketch Ciutat Badalona, the Pescadores' Brotherhood, the port of call... During the weekend, the Fira de la Nática and its offices call the general public for a full agenda of leisure and activities. In addition, more than 60 companies will display vessels (not more than 8m) and nautical products and services related to the initiation nautical. On the other hand, as the Fira matches the calendar with the Festes de Maig de Badalona, the gastronomic offer will be strengthened and we will be able to attend Swing classes.

So, on Friday from 7.30 p.m. there will be an open class of jazz steps and concert at 8 p.m. On Saturday at 6.30 p.m. the direct with DJ and electroswing class will start. To continue at 8: 00 with a second concert. On Sunday the program is reinforced with an exhibition of Salvamento Marítimo with helicopter that can be seen from the walk of the coat dam, reopened to the public after the rehabilitation resulting from the damage caused by the temporary; a race will be presented, there will be a flyboard exhibition... Obviously visitors who wish to do so will be able to practice a large number of nautical activities: kayaks, paddel surf, windsurfing, rowing, dragonboat, J80, etc.
