Presentation of Melilla Nautical Week and the Two Continent Height Regatta in Motril (Granada).

The Real Club Náutico de Motril has been the stage, after Barcelona and Madrid, in the promotion of the two main nautical dates of the Melillense August, the XXI Nautical Week and the XIV Regata de Altura Dos Continentes.

This afternoon, the event hall, of the motor nautical entity, has brought together the main authorities of the town of Granada and the Commonwealth of Municipalities, to set up this presentation that has been carried out by the sports adviser of the Autonomous City, Antonio Miranda.

"As for more than a decade, we started in Motril the promotion of our races here in the South, because we have always understood the many ties that unite us. Not only the closeness in distance, but we share the same concern for the sport of the Sailing," Miranda stressed.

The Councillor of Tourism, Alicia Crespo, along with the president of the Commonwealth of Municipalities of the Tropical Coast of Granada, Sergio García, the Captain Maritime of Motril, Fernando Ramos, and the president of the RCN of Motril, Antonio Gutiérrez, have taken part in this presentation. Sergio García has highlighted the "Melilla experience" in cruise races, while the most responsible of the Nautico Club has offered to "create the figure of the fleet coordinator, to group the ships that from Motril go to participate in the Nautical Week," said Antonio Gutiérrez, who also highlighted the "twinning between the two cities and the two nautical clubs."

During the presentation, a video was designed, which includes the most outstanding aspects of this new edition of both the Nautical Week and the Dos Continentes Regata, as well as the main events of Melilla Nautica 2017.

The 21st Nautical Week 'City of Melilla' is disputed between August 10 and 15, with the Spanish Championship South Zone. One of the main attractions is the struggle for this national title of the main crews of the Peninsular South. Previously, between August 8 and 9, the tenth edition of the Two Continents Regata will be held, where the Spanish Championship of Height South Zone will also be at stake.

Sports counselor Antonio Miranda has given a plaque of thanks to the Real Club Náutico de Motril for the close collaboration he has maintained over the years with the organization of the Nautical Week City of Melilla.
