From 1 to 4 June, the 44th edition of the Conde de Godó Sail Trophy, one of the classic races of the national and Mediterranean Sailing, will be held in Barcelona's waters. It will be the date before the celebration of the 45th anniversary of the great Barcelona competition, whose preparations are already under way. The Real Club Náutico of Barcelona studies several formulas to celebrate the ephemeride, and some of them could be put into practice already this year, with the primary objective of bringing the sport of the sailing to the public, in a city that loves the sport and which is recognized internationally by the organization of great sports events.

The introduction of new classes, the implementation of new competition formats and the application of new sports sponsorship formulas are some of the proposals that the historic entity has on the table, to continue to innovate in this sport. Aware of this RCNB leadership position, some of the best sailing teams have already confirmed their participation in the 44 Conde de Godó Sailing Trophy, which calls for the ORC and J80 classes.

To promote the sport of sailing and nautical sports and to enhance the culture of the sea, especially among the young, are the main missions of the Royal Nautical Club of Barcelona, which is carried out through the sailing school and through the organization of regats throughout the year. Among them are the Sailing Trophy Conde Godó and the Puig Vela Classica Barcelona, the meeting for classic boats that this year will celebrate its tenth anniversary, from 12 to 15 July.
