The Spanish fleet of the class 470 faces in just under three days the European Championship of the class, which will take place in the prestigious Yacht Club of Monaco and in which a total of 90 crew members enter those that are listed 8 representing Spain. The quote is open, so also come regatists from countries such as Argentina, Australia, China, Brazil, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore or Ukraine, the vast majority have taken part in the recently concluded World Series of Hyères in which Spain achieved magnificent results, highlighting the silver medal obtained by the Catalan-canary tandem with Silvia Mas and Patricia Cantero.

Along with them, and in females, they have also moved to Monegasque lands Sofia Toro and Angela Pumariega, as well as Barbara Cornudella and Sara López and Aura Miquel and Andrea Doreto. Six intense days ahead in which 10 more Medal Race races are planned, with gold and silver groups, except for last minute modifications. Saturday, May 6 is the opening ceremony, while the next day the official training race will be held. The first two days, 8 and 9 May will be classified, while in the next three final series and the last, Saturday 13, with the Medal Race in play.
