The Real Club Náutico de Madrid, with its president Adrián Dupuy, gave an emotional tribute to the four-year president of the Royal Club: Arturo Delgado. Delgado's mandate at the head of the Madrid club took place between 1980 and 1984. In the Star Class, he participated in the Spanish Olympic Class Championships (1986-1987), in the Christmas Race (1986) and in the First National Olympic Class Regata (1987). He has also sailed in the Dragon Class and currently sails in Cruise and Selling Classes. On the management side, as well as being the president of the RCN Madrid, Arturo Delgado has been leading the Royal Spanish Vela Federation for 12 years (1984 / 1992 and 1996 / 2000). During its three terms, the Spanish candle obtained 6 Olympic medals (5 gold and 1 silver) and 10 Olympic diplomas, as well as several world and European titles. In his extensive curriculum, he highlights one year to the Frete of EUROSAF (European Sailing Federation), an organization that later spent four years as Vice President, as well as another four years with the Vice President of ISAF (now World Sailing, International Sailing Federation). Among the many positions he has played in the sailing, the one of Vocal of the Review Board (Appeals Committee) of the ISAF from 2001 to 2012 or Executive Vocal of the COOB Barcelona 92 or vice president of the first Spanish challenge of Copa América.
