The National publishes # LarojaSURF list for the ISA World Surfing Games 2017

The engines are already roaring and everything is ready for the # LarojaSURF to return to an absolute Surfing ISA World
The technical committee of the Spanish Federation of Surf announces which are selected to represent Spain in the World Cup that will be held in Biarritz between 20 and 28 May. The best team for the best stage, this will be what many of the surf fans in this country think when they know what the ultimate team is. The great number and the great time so that some of the national surfers are living has made things difficult for the selectors to make a decision. Finally, after a few days of reflection and after the meeting held on 20 April last during the "Zarautz Pro" in which the agendas of the athletes were consulted for this part of the season, the national technical committee has decided who will be the surfers with which Spain comes to the ISA World Cup that, between 20 and 28 May, will take place in the French town of Biarritz.
For this great world surf event, the national selections of each country must be made up of six athletes, of whom 4 will be men and 2 women. In Spain, those selected to represent # LarojaSURF are, in the female category: GARAZI SÁNCHEZ (EUK); ARIANE OCHOA (EUK); NADIA EROSTARBE (EUK); and for the male category: JONATHAN GONZÁLEZ (CAN); VICENTE ROMERO (GAL); LUIS DÍAZ (CAN); IMANOL YEREGI (EUK); JANJO FERNÁNDEZ (AND).
Pablo Solar recognized that "to set up a team with the high level of our surfers and the conditioners that the burden of championships they have during the year and the commitments made in different parts of the world is not an easy task... with a team that mixes the veterans and the youth, loaded with talent and with tremendous desire to achieve a good result both individually and collectively."The world, which did not visit Europe since 2008, will start on the 20th at the headquarters that already hosted them more than three decades ago in 1980, Biarritz. The exit pistolet will be given by individual tests of the female category that will be held during the first of the two weekends between which the "ISA World Surfing Games 2017" will be held.
Many national teams are presenting high-profile athletes, which shows the very high level that ours will find in the waters of Biarritz, in this sense the selector Ricardo Bilbao confirmed that, "the level of this world is going to be very high, the attendance of the best surfers in each country, even CT athletes, is confirmed, we will be immersed in a true World Championship". On the other hand, Rafa Selles, the physical preparation of the selection, in this same direction points out the importance of this type of event, "the international surf championships by selections are taking on the impact and importance they must have from now on."Both members of the technical team agree on the objective of # LarojaSURF: "The objective must always be as ambitious as possible, but based on the context that accompanies us, of course, sports objectives of being as high as possible."Spain goes to the Biarritz World Cup, as indicated by the Ricardo Bilbao selector: "With a very solid surf, without extravagances, and with a great desire to do it well."
