The Maverta, a Rodman 42 armed by Pedro Gil, has been made with the triumph in the absolute general in the 18th Strella Levante Trophy that has been held this weekend between Torrevieja and San Pedro de Pinatar. As for the general class, in ORC 1 the winner has been Maverte de Pedro Gil; Greek has been made with a title in ORC 2, while Pulpo Negro, Wise Choice and Lestes Two have done it in the ORC 3, 4 and Promotion classes.
A second day marked by the very good wind conditions, especially by overcoming the equator of the test after the departure in the vicinity of the CN Villa de San Pedro and arrival in the very mouth of the Torreviejense club. Favorites, especially in class ORC 1, have not failed in the day in compliance with the plan. Triumph in compensation of Maverta, followed by Trabauco and Dignity 3 - Ford Moilsa. The ORC 2 podium has been configured with Greek, Mercator and Odeaminos. As for the ORC 3 the first three squares have been for Black Octopus, Viryi and Marchalado. In the class ORC 4 Wise Choice, which has been the winner, has been accompanied on the podium by Birsa and Kenya. As for the Lestes Two, Carey and Hegoaize promotion fleet have been the three that have occupied podium square.
The first test of the 18th Star of Levante Trophy, between Torrevieja and the CN Villa of San Pedro, with 21.5 nautical miles of journey, took place on the day of Saturday, April 29 under good wind conditions, although that is with a threat of rain. Important appointment for this weekend convened by the Royal Nautical Club of Torrevieja: the Star-Up Regatta for ORC cruises. It will be the first of the tests in the sea of Murcia, along with the journey planned for the 18 to 20 May between Torrevieja and Formentera. In this first delivery, with just over 30 ships registered... taking back the Organizing Committee's usual program, following the change in the last edition as the occasion for the 50th anniversary of the Royal Torrevieja Nautical Club. The fleet will face a coastal route to the Nautico de Villa de San Pedro, with the intention to go to the island of Grosa and from there to the line of arrival, located in the vicinity of the club bat Villa de San Pedro, with about 25 nautical miles of route, provided that weather conditions allow.
