The Spanish navigator, Alex Pella, received the "Personaje del Year" award from the Spanish Association of Nautical Journalists (AEPN). The event took place at the Hotel Denia La Sella Golf, during the celebration of the X Nautical Hall of Denia.

The president of the AEPN, Pedro Sardina, said that "for all who love the nautical, Alex Pella is an example, not only for what he has just achieved, of the speed record of the return to the sailing world, but for the more than 15 years he has been in ocean navigation.
