The strong wind allowed only to cancel the second day in the Sands

The results of the Bizkaia Light Sailing Championship were conditioned by the strong wind and storms of the second day, which forced the race committee to overturn it and to remain as winners the regatists who ended up leaders after the Saturday tours. In this way, Juan Olábarri republished his victory in the Optimist class, while Ignacio Castillo noted the triumph in Optimist B. In the rest of the classes the Andoni and Iñigo Lejarraga brothers (FEVA class), Natalia Carreira and Ana de Córdoba (L'Equipe), Nicolás Viar (Laser Radial) and Ignacio Aja in (Laser 4.7) won the Bizkaia Championship.

29 / 04 / 2017: Very roll winds in the Getxo Abra in the Bizkaia de Vela Championship

The Light Sailing Bizkaia Championship started in the waters of the Abra with southern wind and complex, and with tours after which the favorites of the final victory were known. Thus, after the three sleeves in the Optimist class, the main candidate for the title, Juan Olábarri, holds the lead. Meanwhile, Ignacio Castillo is first in Optimist B.

Andoni and Iñigo Lejarraga are the dominators in FEVA at the end of the first day in Las Arenas

In the rest of the classes two tours were completed, with the brothers Andoni and Iñigo Lejarraga in the first square of the class FEVA and Natalia Carreira and Ana de Córdoba first in the class L'Equipe. Nicolás Viar is a leader of the Laser Radial class, as Ignacio Aja in Laser 4.7. This Sunday the final tours are held to meet the 2017 Bizkaia champions.

26 / 04 / 2017: This weekend the Bizkaia of Light Sailing Championship is held in Getxo

After the great results obtained by the regatists of the School of Vela José Luis de Ugarte of the Real Club Marítimo del Abra-Real Sporting Club in the waters of Santander and San Sebastián, it is disputed this weekend at the Abra the Bizkaia Championship of light sailing. This competition will take place on a double day with six tours, depending on the conditions of the wind, and about 60 regatists in the water.

Three sleeves will be held both on Saturday 29 (from 13: 00) and on Sunday 30 from noon to unveil at the end of them the various provincial winners in the Optimist, Laser, L'Equipe, FEVA, 420 and Snipe classes. A year ago, Iñigo Fuertes defeated in Laser Radial, Iria Barrio in Laser 4.7, Carmen Gomeza and Elena Martínez in 420, Alba Ortega and Carmen Arbaiza in L'Equipe, Peru Múgica and Mikel Vega in the Snipe class, and Juan Olábarri and Ane Lejarraga in Optimist.
