The Spanish Association of the International Class of Optimist (AECIO IODA Spain) has already set up its Technical Staff for this season, which starts in just a few days in Altea with the first of two important tests and from which the Spanish representatives will come out at the World Cup in Thailand (10-23 July), European in Bulgaria (30 July-6 August) and European Team Racing (22-27 August) in Italy, the latter will go to the best classified in Bulgaria. Ramón Aixemeno is the first coach, taking responsibility for leading the team in the world and in the European. The Catalan technician, one of the most prestigious at the international level, again took over the command of the national team after his move to the World Cup in Argentina in 2014. A date in which our country achieved two important titles. Aina Colom stood up with the World Cup in Féminas, while at the collective level Spain hung the bronze on Team Racing.

Aixemeno is happy to redirect Spain on these two great dates, mainly, and stresses that "The Spanish Optimist has always had great potential, and what I have been able to follow these years I have seen that after 2014 the generations that have followed Aina, the Luján, Torres and others that have been to a great level. Now, after Altea and Pollença, we can form and work hard for those two great dates."In this new season, and accompanying Aixemeno, there will be two other important Spanish coaches and who already have experience with the team, case of the Andalusian Eduardo Zalvide (Poti), who was already part of the Technical Staff in the World past of Vilamoura in Portugal and of the Catalan Kiko Econo.

Kiko Ello will once again be responsible for the team at the European Team Racing in Ledro, Italy, and will also be the Team Leader in Thailand and Bulgaria. It also has a great prestige within the class at the international level, being a key piece in the sports structure of AECIO IODA Spain as it is one of the coaches that runs the Tecnification Plan. As for the planned training in the face, still to be confirmed dates and headquarters, the Spanish technician explains that "AECIO's intention is to organize a first training between the dates that separate the Cup and the Spanish Championship, open to all the regatists participating in the cup and a second training in the days after the National, already with all the members of the national team and other regatists who want to join."
