Navantia opened a commercial office in Bergen in June last year, next to the Naval Base in which the ships are based, in a company's commitment to strengthen its presence in the country and to increase business relations with this strategic client for Navantia

Navantia has signed with the Norwegian Ministry of Defence a five-year support contract for the five frigates of the Fridjoft Nansen class (F310), built by Navantia between 2000 and 2011 and currently in service in the Norwegian Navy. This contract is a continuation of the one signed by both parties in June 2013, and is now extended, thus demonstrating the confidence of the Norwegian Government in Navantia, as well as the company's commitment to the support of the ships. This new contract, in addition to covering the services of technical assistance, maintenance, repair, engineering studies, implementation of improvements, training and supply of spare parts and components, which already had the previous contract, incorporates a continuous service to support the maintenance of the Integrated Platform Control System of these ships, as well as a control of obsolescence in spare parts and components (detection and solution to the loss of life of these elements) and maintenance of the configuration of the ships.
