The mayor of Denia, Vicent Grimalt and the director of Marina de Denia, Gabriel Martínez, have presented the program of activities that will take place during the celebration of the X edition of the Nautical Hall of Denia that will take place from April 28 to May 1. It will be four days of competition in which, in addition to hosting all the new developments of the nautical sector, sports and activities will be protagonists. The event has prepared various activities, all free of charge, so that the attendees can participate in the living room and take a nautical experience with them.

"In 2014 we decided to change the concept of living room and adapt to the needs of the sector. Spanish nautical needs long-term projects. The Nautical Hall of Denia is vertebrated in three facets, all as important. The first to attract children to the sea, with different activities. The second, dedicated to young people understanding that the nautical is not only ships, it is the paddle surf, the rowing, the pirage, and that everyone can have access to it. The third facet is to care for exhibitors and generate business. Today we are aware that this model has taken place in most of the competitions held in our country and all of them have included activities," said Gabriel Martínez.

This year the care of the sea and the environment will be very present in the SND, under the motto, "The sea is part of our home, protect it." This edition is again supported by the Ecomar Foundation and its president, the Olympic regatist, Theresa Zabell. During the living room the Ecomar Foundation will conduct recycling workshops with children who want to aim freely and children who come from the Fish Brotherhood, with which we will do an environmental activity.

The Cabo de San Antonio Marine Reserve is also a fundamental part of the living room. "With them we carry out one of the activities that we have been most carefully dealing with since the organization, the Drawing Contest, which meets its fourth edition," said Martínez. This year the eight schools and more than 450 children will have to perform one mural per class, in which they reflect how we should care for the environment. The contest is aimed at all students of the 4th, 5th and 6th primary schools in Denia. The main objective is to encourage the little ones to enter the maritime world. The drawings can be voted on Facebook from April 12 to April 25 and the winners will be published on April 27. All participants will be able to enjoy an exit at the catamaran to the Marine Reserve. "Although we still have to be confirmed from Conselleria, but we are working together with the Marine Reserve to reperform a turtle release, as we did in 2014," said the director of the SND. This year, as a novelty, Xaloc, the Association for the Study and Conservation of the Environment, will offer two talks.

Water sports also occupy a prominent place. Every day, through the Centre for Marine Nautical Activities of Denia and the different clubs installed in the port, there will be paddle, pyranges and paddle surfing, Sup Yoga and Pilates demonstrations and surfing experience for children with simulators. We'll have the Master Class of the Fitness and Fitness Center 19. The Aquabus will work every day, free of charge. On hours of 11 to 23 hours. The ship of Salvamento Marítimo can also be visited. There will be children's workshops, mattresses and games.

"You know that the sport image of our port is the ocean navigator Alex Pella and on Saturday, April 29, he will offer a talk to tell us his experience at the Julio Verne Trophy." In addition, Maremoto Jets will offer an exhibition of Flyboard. A rescue drill with the Helmer helicopter is also being offered.

On Sunday, April 30, the canine fashion parade will be held in charge of Mascotetes and the exhibition of Terranova Dogs, with Marenostrum.

The mayor of Denia has congratulated the SND organization. "It is not easy to keep ten editions and for Denia it is very important as it comes within our philosophy of de-parking tourism. And above all, its approach to sustainability and education is the most remarkable of this event. If children are clear that they have to respect the sea, this room will be 10 years old," said Vicent Grimalt.

The Náutico de Denia Salon is sponsored by the City Council of Denia, the Hotel Denia La Sella Golf, the Marine World, the Cabo de San Antonio Marine Reserve and Gibeller.
