The thirteenth edition of the Santa Catalina Trophy, which organized the Royal Club Astur de Regatas as as a tradition, was completed in the asturian waters, the absolute victories for José and Francisco Palacio in the Snipe class, Fernando Alonso in optimist, Alvaro Pérez in Laser 4.7 and Luis Díaz in Laser Radial. It had to be noted that the strong temporal deprived the participants of competing in half of the scheduled tests that were six... in three there was the wind party that sunk on Saturday to just over 28 knots from the west!. On Sunday the weather changed radically, at the beginning of the day the wind of the north barely exceeded the minimum intensity of 5 knots, in order to give the exit, which fortunately remained during the first two sleeves reaching up to 8 knots, in a very unstable field of races. The third and last race of the Trophy had to be done under a short walk in the face of the downfall of intensity, on a sunny day and the bottom sea of a metre.

In the Snipe class, José Palacio a la rea and his son Fran, on this occasion of proel, first completed the two scheduled sleeves, followed very closely by Jaime Alvarez-Hevia and Laura Rodríguez, who ended up in second position in both tests. The third square of the general classification with a third and a fourth place obtained it, Alvaro Alegría and Carlos Ordoñez. Luis Díaz in Laser Radial revalidated with authority the title obtained in the last edition, with three first in his locker, the second square was for Sergio González closing the honorary posts, Irene Fernández. Among the Laser 4.7, Alvaro Pérez was the best to score two first and second, the second position was for, Diego Jiménez who won a manga followed by Pelayo Costales. Finally, in the Optimist class, the victory was won by Fernando Alonso, with two seconds and a first place, Jacobo Fernández ended up in the second place of the general with a first second and a third place. Covadonga Fernández who won a manga rose to the third step of the drawer.
