The Federation of Nautical Industries of France publishes its 2017 Report
The Federation of Nautical Industries of France presented its plan for the development of navigation and sailing for 2017. This document brings together the suggestions of the members of the federation, which met on several occasions on the occasion of the celebration of the different nautical halls, as well as opinions of the fans and intersates in the sector, of the gala industry itself and of the federations involved. This report sets out the strategy lines for the sector for the coming years, subject to market fluctuations and development. The document obtained is held on five basic pillars:
- Competitiveness of the sector
- Market development
- Sustainable development
- The different territories
- National concept
Competitiveness of the sector
Beyond the competitiveness issues common to all French industries, three conditions are recognized to maintain the place of the French nautical industry worldwide. In order to maintain technological leadership and support innovation, aid devices need to be more accessible, including through specific lines for project development, which include minor actions for projects of less importance but essential to generate the competitiveness of the sector. The association also wants to promote innovation and online water lounges. The document also emphasizes the need for vocational training, within the national education plans, as well as funding for the various regions in this area, and in the context of a partnership to support the specific training plans of each region. It is also essential to reduce the processing and bureaucracy of different aid files.
Market development
It is clear that France will not have a powerful nautical industry, without a strong and sustained market. It is therefore essential that the Administration provide support for boat owners and the development of alternative options to purchase, promoting the charter or shared property business. It is also considered essential to promote a large second-hand market, with great power and professionalism. It is also considered by the Federation that the knowledge of the different French industries is enhanced, for this purpose the FIN will work in communication abroad, with a professional management of the nautical halls.
Sustainable development
The FIN believes that the navigator is "polluter" and that it is necessary to immediately end this perception by the public. It therefore believes that it is essential to value the sustainability of the marine environment, to promote good customs in this regard and to bring to the working table the appropriate training for the navigators. The Federation believes that it is appropriate to partner and work together with the various management bodies of the marine protected areas. The sector requires state support for energy transition and incentives for the acquisition of environmental equipment.
