In the CAR of Santander began the plan of technification of the class optimist 2017

The Santander High Performance Centre hosted the first of the seven technical plans 2017, which will take place in Andalusia, Cantabria, Galicia, Euskadi, Gran Canaria and Catalunya... the Optimist class already has the sights on the first of the two great national citations: Copa de España from 13 to 16 April at the Nautical Club in Altea
During two intense days of training Kiko Como, one of the coaches of Aecio- Ioda Spain, was with the ideal class regatists of Santander and their coaches. They all took advantage of these two days to learn and improve their technique and knowledge, both in water and on land. The weather conditions were not the best ally, little wind in the beautiful bay of Santander in which the 6 knots of intensity were not reached in the two days, although, it was possible to train for those conditions of little wind and to deepen the application of the regulation. On the ground the regatists took good note of the tips to prepare and also on the maintenance of the optimist to have it ready and in the best conditions at all times. The intention of this technical plan, which has been developing for 8 years, is to bring the knowledge of national technicians to other parts of Spain and to the fleets far away from high competition. In this way, both the regatists of these communities in their promotion groups and the technicians can learn the knowledge that the national trainers of the Optimist class transmit. Kiko Como, one of the most important coaches at the national and international level of the class, is the one who moves to the self-government to develop the plan, and can also propose other coaches if their level is appropriate to the typology of the work to be developed.
