The High Court of Ballear Justice denies the stay of works in Alcudiamar

Alcudiamar has modern port services and an extensive commercial, gastronomic and leisure offer. Without a doubt one of the ports that best covers all kinds of attractions to attract residents, tourists, professionals and navigators
According to the prestigious Mallorcan rotating, the Diario de Mallorca, the High Court of Justice of the Illes Balears has refused to stop the works of the port of Alcudiamar requested by the Grup d'Ornitologia Balear. The GOB requested precautionary measures to stop part of the investment of the expansion works committed by Alcudiamar and in particular the expansion works of the port of call. The lawyer who defends the position of Alcudiamar, Miguel Arrom has stated that "The decision of the court shows that the works have not yet been started and that they are in the process of environmental assessment, and therefore there is no point in stopping them, as no irreparable damage is attested", says Miguel Arrom, Alcudiamar's defense lawyer. The car also shows the general public interest of the port investment challenged by the Autonomous Government of the Balearic Islands. Last year the Board of Administration of the Harbour Authority granted the extension of the concession granted to Alcudiamar for the exploitation of the marina in the port of Alcúdia for a period of twelve more years, which together with the initial 30 years reach a total of 42 years. The Alcudiamar project consists of renovating the port's facilities and building a new port of call with dimensions similar to the current one, of 11,000 square meters, meeting the environmental requirements that ensure that it will not affect the beach.
