Luis Martínez Doreste rapporteur in Sanxenxo from a North Sails clinic

The Royal Nautical Club of Sanxenxo hosts this weekend the first clinic North Sails of the 2017 season
North Sails clinics are an initiative of the world leader in the manufacture of candles to inform and advise navigators of all levels on navigation techniques, maneuver improvement and the latest trends in materials. The 2017 North Sails clinic calendar will include appointments in Denia (May), Algeciras (June), Palma de Mallorca (July), Alicante and Barcelona (September)... being the first clinic of the season to be held this weekend within the final days of the Pontevedra River Interclub Regata, and will be taught by experts from North Sails and prestigious Laureano Wizner regatists, Luis Martínez Doreeste and Fernando Pazó. This is the second time that the clinic is included in the Galician multitudinary test, following the great success of attendance and criticism of the previous edition.
The program will start on Friday 17, from 8: 00 p.m., with a technical talk on TPT technology (used in the manufacture of the revolutionary North Sails 3Di candles) and navigation with asymmetric winds. On Saturday, the 18th, Wizner, Doreste and Pazó will join the fleet to photograph and record the race in video, advising participants from the water on the correct setting of the candles. At the end of the competition they will hold a briefing to share the images of the day and reflect on how to improve the browsing experience. The program for Sanxenxo is as follows:
Friday, 17 March
20: 00h Seminar on carrier navigation and 3Di technology
Saturday, 18 March
19: 00h Post-race briefing and image review
